The food is good and they give you plenty. One of the good local places to eat. Had the meat jun and mochiko chicken mix plate and it was delicious.
...Plate lunches in the ole' Kakaako Lunch Wagon tradition... the menu specials are even on a chalkboard... in a part of town that reminds me of that working-class, industrial vibe. .. with prices and volume to match... and to top it all off, Chef-Joe's food is also So ONO... (tasty)... This is one of my "Go To" places for authentic, local-kine grinds...Angus-Hamburger Plates and Loco-Moco, MONSTER siu Mai (Pork Hash), Huge Long-Johns, Cone Sushi... JUST for starters... he has an extensive menu of all my lunch-wagon favs... a little hard to find in that little strip mall, but WELL worth the drive... More...
Killah Local Grindz. Great Customer Service Service! Definitely Will Be Back. So Much To Choose Off The Menu.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, some of the best dishes come from "a little hole in the wall" places. And this place definitely fits that description. My sister and brother in law recommended this place and I have been craving to try something new so we decided to venture into a neighborhood we almost never go to. It was worth the trek. Note on to the important parts, the food! We ordered a plethora of dishes: Manapua man (came with a manapua, pork hash, and fried saimin). I swapped the fried saimin for chow fun. Asian shrimp salad, mochiko chicken and pork hash, spicy mayo poke bowl and loco moco. I also had to get long john's and taro turnover (we can't forget the desserts )! The manapua has a char siu filling and was so ono! The pork hash was amazing! Normally I eat it with a dipping sauce, but this didn't need anything! The poke bowl was amazing! There truly wasn't anything we were disappointed with. The long john's and turnovers were to die for! We WILL be coming back for more! More...
The best Hawaiian food in Las Vegas!! Great prices and even better food, you cannot go wrong.

A hole in the wall Hawaiian joint which I discovered while on my lunch break. I got their spicy ahi poke, and man, it was freakin bomb! Definitely some of the best I've had in this city. Generous portions with huge chunks of tuna, and the seasoning was fantastic! I was in Oahu during the summer, and this joint/strip mall definitely reminds me of Honolulu. I can't wait to try some of their other local favorites. It doesn't help being right next to Every Grain. I'm gonna have a hard time choosing between the two for lunch. More...
It's really good super hot and fresh would love to come back bring all my friends we love it
Just like back home. Ono.

The last time I had kimchi spam musubi was at a Pacific Islander Festival, and I'm so thrilled Pacific Island Taste has it here! ! It's just as delicious as I had first tried it-- you get the savory spam with crunchy, tangy kimchi! Poke bowl and saimin soup was aweeeeesome, too. Staff was impeccably friendly, and described how all menu items are made from scratch. It's shown by the taste of the food -- delicious! More...
Great food, lots of Aloha as usual.

An amazing little place where the food is amongst the finest Hawaiian food in town, all the food is cooked fresh and made to order so it takes a little bit to get your fresh made food but it's worth the wait. Very delicious food and awesome portions will definitely be a returning customer
Never knew this place existed until my sister brought me the pork hash, manapua and long john. It was so ono. Happy to say I'll be stopping by to try more items. It's so hard to find good solid Hawaiian food cooked with aloha but I'm hoping this will be my go to restaurant. Great job!! More...
Found this place on Yelp and been in the mood for some pork hash aka siu mai dumplings Hawaiian style. PIT is located in a strip mall off Charleston near downtown LV so it was a quick trip from the California hotel where I was staying. Ambiance is pretty straight forward with seating for about 40 persons. Hanging on the walls are photos of their food. Owners are Hawaiian and super nice. We ordered the bbq chicken, the meat jun, and pork hash. All were delicious and it was my first time having meat jun and it's a great meal for low carb dieters like my self. You have to love a place that calls you uncle or auntie when you walk in. Definitely will come again on my visit to LV. More...
Awesome food, and very friendly! Orders are always hot and ready to go when we pick up too, huge bonus on that.

THIS GOT TO BE THE #1 HAWAIIAN FOOD HERE IN LAS VEGAS. Everything from portions to food quality is A1. The Poke nachos was the best ever from this place. I also ordered the Chicken Katsu Loco Moco,l that i couldnt finish because it was so much. The pork belly musubi was very delicious. The staff was super friendly and felt like I was eating at a family friends house that welcomed me. Everything tasted homemade and made me want to take a trip back to Hawaii. This place will never disappoint and I will be making my trip back here soon. Thank you pacific island taste for the amazing food. More...
Just like home! Generous servings, delicious flavor, lots of aloha in their service, and great prices. You will leave here full and satisfied. I ordered meat jun and manapua and pork hash to go. I also got a custard-filled malasada, but I ate it before I remembered to take a picture. We will definitely make this a regular stop every time we visit Vegas. More...

Workers are always friendly and welcoming. Even the younger workers are respectful. Wide variety menu. Plates are filling. They make everything fresh so food may take awhile to come out but worth the wait. Food is so tasty. Hot mustard makes the addition to the plates I order. Desserts are yummy. More...
Probably the best Loco Moco I've had in Vegas. The Katsu Curry Loco Moco is one ono mashup. Getting a local deluxe style breakfast is cheaper with more meat here than Aloha Kitchen. Has an endearing hole in the wall setting. More...

Great food! Reminded me of being back on the Islands. The customer service was wonderful. The next time I am in Las Vegas, I will be back here!
Absolute gem for the neighborhood. I literally recommend this place to everybody in the area. The food is bomb and reasonably priced and the service is beyond excellent. The saimen is a life saver.
Good local style food and warm hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Love coming here. Don't come often as I'd like to because it's a little out of my way. When I travel I come pick up food for the road. Service is exceptional. Food is delicious. Price is right! Authentic local Hawaii foods.
Swung by since it seemed like a solid spot for delicious and filling food. I was visiting Las Vegas for the Life is Beautiful music festival, but wanted to get away from the buffets for once and find a local small business to check out :)I got to try their:1. Shoyu onion poke 2. Spicy mayo poke (I ordered rice on the side and ordered the poke a la carte)3. Shu Mai (free with Check in) 4. Spam musubi5. Garlic furikake friesI must say you can tell it's a sweet and authentic place that's family run. Do be patient as it may take some time for food to come out. Everything is made to order. I noticed that they get a lot of phone orders to go as well. It's a small spot with limited seating, but it's wholesome and you do get your money's worth in food. I was glad that the fish quality for the poke was on point for the price as well!!I wish I had a chance to try their taro turnover because I had McDonald's taro pie in Asia and that stuff is and the reviews tell me their taro turnover is good. Overall, it is a solid spot that I'd consider going if I ever visit Vegas again! More...
Ok guys: this will have to be my all time fav Hawaiian place. This is GENUINE Hawaiian dishes. Customer service: speechless. The friendliness and family feeling is ALL OVER! They make conversation and make you feel so welcoming. Just like home. I got the Mahi poke 'e spicy bowl and I loved it! Husband got another dish that i can't remember the name but DEAR LORD, it's so darn good!! We will DEFINITELY be coming back with friends and family! Thank you guys for an awesome dinner MAHALO!! Well worth the drive ! Delicious authentic Hawaiian dishes Best teriyaki beef I have ever had . Friendly owners . Will be back when we return to Vegas
Good local Hawaiian food and super friendly staff.
Super dank Hawaiian food. Huge portions for very reasonable prices. We ordered some of each type of musubi. Our fave was the kimchi spam one! Besides that we also got the poke bowls. The fish was really fresh and good quality. Service was very nice too. There's definitely a homey feeling when you step in, the place has family-run vibes. The only drawback I would say, is the fact that because everything is made to order, it is a longer-than-average wait for your food. But this disclaimer is clearly marked and to be expected!! So definitely budget your time and try to avoid coming already starving. Check in and get the pork hash for free too! It comes out fast and is a good warm up for the rest of the meal. More...
I came down to Vegas for a music festival and discovered this mom and pop shop nearby! The food here was really good(especially after a crazy night). The menu selection is medium in terms of the quantity of items they have. The place was already full since their seating does not have much space. The service is really nice. It seems like a nice family running the restaurant and very passionate about their business.Food:I got the salmon poke bowl and I have to say, their portions are HUGE. I got full and had to just eat the poke and leave some rice behind I also got 3 musubis (kimchi spam, spam, and pork belly)The pork belly was okay because the seaweed got soggy from the pork belly fat. The kimchi spam is a MUST and a game changer. Spam musubis always have a place in my heart because they too damn good If you check in, you will also get a free pork hash which seemed like a siu mai. CHECK IN!!! Because it's p good and who doesn't like free food?Pros:Great priceFood is goodExcellent customer serviceNice selection of foodEasy parkingFresh food doeCons:Very limited seatingUnassuming store frontLong wait doe More...

I come here especially for their long johns but they were sold out today. ☹ anyway Aunty suggested I get their custard filled malasadas. I was like ok I guess. OMG!! This is a bit far from home, but well worth the drive. The food is authentic as is the customer service. The lady in charge constantly is walking around and checking in with customers with genuine aloha spirit. The atmosphere is so Hawaii that you forget you're in Vegas until walking outside. Lots to try, but the Kim chee spam musubi is next on the list.Update: had an issue on the bill and they were more than accommodating and quickly corrected it. In addition, she was profusely apologetic about the situation. More...

Husband & I decided to make a pit stop here for lunch during the week. They are located in the Lafayette Square Plaza off of E. Charleston. The plaza is not super busy so parking is never an issue when we have dined here. This place has definitely been revamped since the last I came. Customer service has gotten better then the last I remembered and the menu has gotten larger with different offerings to acquire anything you would want. The menu is definitely huge and you can get easily side tracked with the many offerings. Luckily everything is a good choice so you won't be dissapointed. We decided on Beef Stew, Chow Funn mix w/ Mochiko Chicken, side order pastele, 1/4 lb. Limu Shoyu Poke and pork hash. Our tab was a little steep but we had leftovers that we ate for dinner.Beef Stew 5/5 - Tender, good taste, huge portionChow Funn w/ Mochiko 5/5 - huge portion, good tastePastele 4/5 - huge, good taste (prefer spicy) and price definitely much more then i wouldve paid $6.99 wow!Poke 4/5 - good portion, fish fresh, great tastePork Hash 3/5 - HUGE! Taste however wasnt all there in my opinion. Growing up in Hawaii i have had Libbys, Chun Wah, Char Hung, Aiea Manapua, the list goes on. Sometimes the larger isnt better. Lost the taste.Overall we like Pacific Island Taste. The aunty in there that delivered to us had plenty Aloha, the 2 guys working the counter were nice and friendly. Prices little larger for plate lunch but we enjoyed and had leftovers. We'll be back. Mahalo for your hospitality that we often miss from back home. More...

Our favorite Hawaiian Food place to eat while we are here from California. The food is fresh and very tasty. We are happy malasadas and long johns are sold here. This, we cannot get in Northern California. We have been here for lunch but today it's for breakfast. We will be back for lunch, before our vacation in Vegas ends. More...

Saw this place pop up on Yelp/Google and had to stop by. Wow! I got the spicy poke on rice and some mac salad and it was all delicious. Words can't describe how good this place is. Family owned and run this place serves real authentic Hawaiian food. How do I know? All of my co workers who come from the big island told me. Walking in it's like coming into your moms house and she's going to prepare you dinner. The menu here is pretty big is there is something for everyone. We went with the Hawaiian plate, pork hash and poke. They offered three different types of poke on the day we came and I got 1/2 pound of the spicy and house with steamed rice. The plate and the poke were absolutely amazing. The port hash tasted like the most delicious dumpling we've ever had and the hawaiian plate was enough for two people. On the plate was a fish/pork dish wrapped in some soft of leaf, pork, mac salad and a side of poke. It was enough for 2-3 people, but even better ordered for one with leftovers. The last thing I need to mention which may be the most important are the long johns. Long johns are doughnuts filled with a bavarian cream filling and they were divine. The best single doughnut I've had in Las Vegas so far. Light, fluffy...I ate two while I was there and in the time that we were there they sold out (around 2pm). Words cannot describe how much we love this place. Also shoutout to Towson Tigers!!! One of the owners/owners son went to the same college as me. More...
Full disclosure, I'm not even remotely qualified to assess whether this place is "legit" (as asked by friends who saw my check-ins here), but they definitely seem to be more authentic than many other Hawaiian spots in town. I've been by a couple of times and service is consistently friendly and a touch slower than you expect - on par with what I've heard culturally about the islands, for what it's worth.Their menu is surprisingly massive, with plate lunches and poke bowls, a variety of masaladas, musubis, and even breakfast. My first visit was a cheat meal of musubi and pork hash- the kimchi spam being my favorite of the trio I tried. Second visit, for lunch, was for a shoyu onion poke bowl and a side of their mac salad. Fish was fresh and generously portioned, over a massive amount of rice. Unfortunately the mac salad here was simply overcooked elbows and mayo, so very plain. Eventually I plan to revisit to try their fried rice, meat jun, and katsu!TIP: Free pork hash with Yelp check in! More...
Very great island food , highly recommend
Great Hawaiian spot. Amazing food, great value.
Food is super ono
Great variety at a good price ☺
Came here with my sister and we both tried the poke bowl, long john donut and taro turnover and all was so good ! The poke was like butter, it was so simple yet satisfying. Taro turnover was fresh and it was delicious. The donut was yummy as well. The cashier was the owner and she was sooooo nice, very welcoming ! She made our first experience trying this place out not the last. I'll be trying the poke nachos next time. More...
Hands down the best, most authentic "local Hawaiian" food I've had since moving away from Hawaii in 2006!
Out of every island food restaurant I've tried out here, these are the only guys with good meat jun. Mochiko chicken is bomb. Last time i came i got the chicken katsu, that was mean too. Aunty working the cashier was super friendly. Portions are huge. It's really like 2 meals for 1. More...

Spam kimchi musubi was delicious, only complaint is that there was not enough spam for the amount of rice. Skip the pork bun (it was not good) and go for the pork hash, which was so good! Also the long johns were tasty as well, they do not skimp on the filling! More...

This Hawaiian place is one of the hidden foodie gems for me. They have all the good combos I love and we probably bought almost half their menu. I loved everything I bought and service was really nice and patient. I will 10/10 be coming back to try the rest of the menu with my boyfriend. More...

The manapua is tasty, the huge pork hash is awesome, the ahi nachos is "broke da mouth" ono, the cone sushi is delicious and the pork belly hula bowl is the bomb. Heck, everything's a winner here! Comfort food from The Hawaiian Islands, don't miss home at all! More...

Mean grindz bill came out to $141. But was worth every penny. Definitely coming back again
This place is in the outskirts of Vegas. I was really iffy about parking my BMW there, if you know what I mean. It was 106* out and the place didn't have an AC on, just a fan. It was hot and stuffy inside and I really wanted to come back another day when it's cooler but my friend said that it was the best place and tbh I've been wanting to try this place after seeing all these posts on FB about it.We ordered the laulau plate, spicy poke bowl with avocado, and a dozen pork hash. Ohhhmyyygoodness!!! I was in HEAVEN!!! Everything thing was sooo ono!!! The look on my face when I ate a big chunk of butterfish from the laulau! Talk about fist pump broke da mout kine goodness! Brought back such good memories of when I was little. The pork hash was the best. Not too salty and big size like the ones you get at Chun Wah Kam in Aiea. And the poke bowl didn't have too much poke but it was just enough. The avocado kinda filled the void, in a good way. :)I minused a star only because it was super hot in there and we were all sweating while eating. Hopefully they get AC before I go back. Then I'll add the * to make it 5. More...

This place is legit! We were visiting Vegas in May and ate here twice. The meat jun was onolicious! The Katsu was juicy and good! The pork hash was huge and long john was Amazing! We ordered a bunch of food to bring back home to Texas and the owner was so kind to pack everything nicely for us. The restaurant was busy but she took the time to talk to us and even took pictures with us. The portions are huge and everything we tasted was authentic as can be! I Definitely recommend this place! The laulau plate was so onolious. Most of all the wahines that took our order was Amazing, full of ALOHA
I love this place. I have a hard time when I don't call in my order because I keep seeing more food they're serving and I end up buying a lot of extras. The food is that ono, the pork hash is fat and tasty. The freaking Ahi nachos are to die for. My kids and I are in love with the Mochiko chicken. My favorite is the pork belly musubi, I am gonna get me some of those guava turnovers. The service is great and I don't mind waiting when I don't call it in, thanks guys for the great job Aloha More...
Went for the long Johns and omfg, many dollars later, I by myself managed to order malasada regular and filled, plus lots of pork hash too. The long John... it's what I was hoping for. Custard filling reminds me of when we were young... pastry was nice and crisp (not crispy hard, just had a nice texture) on the outside but soft on the inside. Almost reminded me of the custard sandwhich from #MilesBakery More...
I can't get enough of their Long John's, Malasadas and Pork Hash!! My family and I try to go ever week, if not we Postmates lol. Their lunch plates are HUGE! You must try their pasteles or laulaus - so ono! As soon as you walk in, they have a picture menu. So much to choose from but not overwhelming. While waiting for your food in the restaurant might take a bit longer than most places, personally I don't mind. Most of the menu is cooked right there and then. They have a small tv playing hawaiian/local music. Almost as if watching OC 16 lol. Eating Hawaiian food while listening to local music only makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Aunty (cashier) loves to talk stories. She's so kind! The whole experience is filled with the Aloha Spirit. ♥️ ️ ♥️ More...
I absolutely love this place.. Great food and staff..

Poki taco is the winner
Food was awesome!!!!! It is a great place except for the a/c.
Stopped in for the spicy ahi bowl and it definitely satisfied my cravings. This was my first time here, but so far I'm loving it.
Great food, TRULY authentic, and most of all amazing service! The island culture is so strong here and I couldn't be more pleased.
ONOLICIOUS Da Oxtail Soup Is Just Like Home and Da Limu Poke Is Da Boom
Can I just say.. that this is literally a taste of home. I couldn't even wait to leave. I took a bite of the pork hash and a mochiko chicken I ordered for take out for my girlfriend and I and bruh. The pork hash was moist and flavorful without any need for shoyu and the mochiko chicken tasted just like grandma's. More...
Honestly, this is the place for them LOCAL HAWAIIAN KINE GRINDZ. Someone posted on Facebook about this restaurant, and I knew I had to come! My husband and I looked up where this place is, & it's 5 minutes away from Fremont. So we chanced it because they were closing in half an hr. Right when we got here, we were greeted with the aloha that we missed so much. They also had the local jams playing which we loved. We walked in, and there's the menu on your left. Our jaws dropped because it seriously looked like home! We were amazed & so excited because there are some items that some other Hawaiian restaurants don't have. I won't name the items because you would actually have to come here and find out for yourself :)I couldn't choose what to order! But of course I had to choose one that I haven't had since I moved here, so I ordered the pastele plate w/mac salad and rice. My husband ordered the chicken katsu curry moco w/mac salad, eggs, & rice. WE ARE NOT GOING TO ANY OTHER HAWAIIAN RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN. This place is WINNAHZ. I don't know why it took us this long to find this place. We talked story with one of the aunty's, and she was super friendly. And we were honored to meet the owner of the restaurant, Joe. He was so friendly, and we were able to talk story with him as well.We are coming back for more...possibly tmw...for some breakfast since it's served all day :) MAHALO & ALOHA PACIFIC ISLAND TASTE More...
Good food good people. Down side is if you eat in, the AC is down. The pork hash is good and good size.
I recommend everything at Pacific Island Taste. The food is onolicious & is worth what you paying for. Not like some other places where you leave & an hour later you hungry. Go check them out, the portions is big. Mahalo to Greg who worked there for all the ALOHA. Go check um out & good luck eating all your food. More...

Never a disappointment! Always good food, very ONO!
Back home me and my family's favorite long john is from Homemade Bakery in Wailuku. Side note - they also sell their Long John's @ 7-11, Minut Stop and Tesoro. Now that we live here in Vegas I was CRAVING long johns and thank goodness for the 9th Island page on FB we found this local restaurant and we are very pleased! Everytime we go there we always buy a dozen at a time as well as malasadas, pork hash and musubis for the kids. Its only $2.85 for one and it's a really nice size. It's filled with a lot of delicous custard and the outside has a nice crisp fried bite. Mmm, my mouth is watering. They also have areally large selection of hawaiian and local food to choose from. The aunty who's always at the counter is very sweet. She takes care of her customers - like family. If you miss the Aloha spirit and the food from back home you must come here! I promise you, like us, you'll be back many of times. More...
Had the chow fun Mac salad cone sushi oh and the long John it was like being back home I will definitely make this a pit stop when I come back !
The pork hash, katsu, chowfun is bomb!! Would recommend to anyone!! Good food and a hole in the wall. Which are always the best places to eat! ! If you go, you will not regret it!! Prices aren't bad at all either. More...
This place is grindz! Solid local kine food, from poke to dessert... Pork Hash is on point and huge. Chowfun reminds me of Nakas back in the day.
First time here, food taste great and the service is awesome, even met some really nice people here. The long john brings me back home, you guys need to try this place if you haven't, I will return
Food was ono. Great service except for the homeless people. Everybody got to eat!Pork hash and bento was on point. Must try but shady area.
Decent food here. They will not make it til you order it which is a huge plus. & also something to keep in mind of. I wasn't too impressed with the butterfish because it was dry. But its a good establishment to recieve your sweet home island taste. I'll definitely be returning, their musubis, pork hash and char siu manapua is ono ono ono. Come check it out. More...
Food was really good. Portions were big and we were very satisfied with everything. Super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone craving local Hawaiian food.
Yummy Hawaiian food!! Huge portions and the taste is spot on. Pork hash on line with Libby's. Limu ahi poke was delicious. J's Bento absolutely worth it. Mochiko chicken was light and crispy. While we were eating multiple people picking up their call in orders. This place is legit. Family owners, service is kind and friendly. Don't forget the Long Johns and Malasadas. We will definitely be back. More...
Always looking for an authentic Hawaiian food place so I tried PIT. It was very good!!The lau lau was very tasty and had the fish inside, not a lot of places do. The stuffed malasadas were amazing!! Long Johns too. Got the hubby a loco moco which was consistent to what other places serve. It’s a pretty simple item , yet still very comforting. I had the oxtail soup which I didn’t care for. The portion was very good for the price and the mushrooms that they added (not typical) I enjoyed. However, it wasn’t a traditional Hawaiian style oxtail but more like the Chinese/Vietnamese style with dark broth and anise. I won’t order it again from this restaurant but will try the beef stew next time. They also have poke that was only ok. The pork hash were good. Glad to have found those there. They emphasized calling in your order and that food preparation can take a long time. It’s good information to know so you don’t expect “fast food”. I called in my order about 15 mins before arriving and still waited about 10. I don’t mind that though. Food was prepared well and I got items that typically take a while to prepare. Dining area is small and not good for large parties. Looking forward to trying other items. O More...
Hawaiian food and service here is very good. You will not be disappointed in the menu and service. The service here is above par.
Yep. Plate lunch on mainland. Where's the papaya guava and pineapple fruit.

This place is pretty good. My favorite is Chow Fun. The Long Johns and Malasada with Guava was one of my favorites

This place is super ono! Must come and check them out. Good vibes, good ppl, great food.
Wow! So glad we found this gem!! Staff is quite friendly, seating is comfortable and plenty considering the size. Menu on the wall with pictures that actually truly reflect what you are served! Beautiful presentation and generous portion size for the price. We ordered the combo chicken katsu/beef teriyaki combo plate, spicy ahi poke bowl, pork hash, and a long john. We have tried several Hawaiian spots around all of Las Vegas and this spot reaches near the top of my Hawaiian foodie list. Thank you for the fresh and flavorful experience near dtlv. :) More...
My family and I are always looking for local food places to try. Pacific Island Taste was recommended by a fellow Hawaii friend of mine. Since we don't leave nearby, we planned to order a little of everything to try and take home the leftovers for dinner. My husband and I both got the Laulau special. The plate includes laulau, kalua pig, fried butterfish, poke, mac salad and rice. I'm not a huge fan of butterfish in my laulau but the fried butterfish was ono! The pastele is huge! Good flavor! The Inari (cone sushi) was really good too! We also got a free porkhash for checking in on Yelp! So many desserts to choose from but we decided on the taro turnover. The crust tastes like there mochi in there. It was really good. Overall: Ono food, good size portions, reasonable prices and friendly service. Already recommended to a few friends and will definitely return again. More...
oooonnnnnnooooo . Was worth the drive and would go back for more. Seriously the hamburger steak was so ono, I forgot the rice and mac salad was there in front of me while I was eating. ......the steak, the gravy, the onions More...
Best laulau I've had outside of the islands. Everything I had (spam musubi, fried saimin, laulau, kalua pig, poke, and mac salad) was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
Love this place. Very friendly and the food is great.. They make the food fresh.. Since i'm not in Hawaii i miss the long john donut and they make it here..
With this being my first visit to Las Vegas, I wanted to end my time there by eating something from back home, which is Hawai'i. I went to Pacific Island Taste for lunch before I went to the airport and I went there to have one thing: a saimin. I went in at about 11:20am but had known from a few reviews that it will sometimes take awhile for the food to be prepared, as all dishes are done when ordered. Another guy waiting for his food, who also was local, said "it's Aloha Friday and it's lunch time, meaning it will be awhile before any of us get our orders." A few people did but an hour later, my lunch came. Saimin was delicious and it made me homesick. I also had a corn beef hash patty, something you can find in some bento's and okazu's, and I liked the fact it didn't have any onions as some will make with onions, sometimes a bit too much. Their Yelp page said one cold have a free pork hash and while the saimin could be ordered with two pork hash, I just wanted one. Verdict? Excellent. As I'm looking at the menu on the wall, I wish I could eat more but did not. The restaurant had two pastries: malasadas and Long John's but I wanted a Long John, as it was a personal favorite of my parents, which they both loved from Liliha Bakery. However, I was going to take it with me to have at home so it was placed in my bag and on the plane it went. I went to my mom when I arrived and said "hold on, I want you to have something" and she immediately knew what it was but there's more to it than looks, it's all about the flavor. She loved it because not only was it a reminder of home but she said when other places make it, it's less about the custard and more about lemon flavoring. This was more custard-y, meaning it got her seal of approval. The only bad thing about this place is they played two songs by a certain artist, off of YouTube, repeatedly for an hour and everyone looked at each other as if to say "again?"!Outside of that nuisance, the food and bibebin there was excellent. They sold kalua pig, lay lay, katsu curry, Mochiko Chicken, pastele, ahi, poke and much more. When I visit Vegas again, I will go back. Hopefully this time, the food will arrive faster but I'm willing to wait. More...
Great hole-in-the-wall spot for 'ono Hawaiian food! Can't wait for them to come to Blue Diampnd and Henderson! The custard filled malassadas are da bomb! Everything we ordered was awesome!
Great customer service, Food was really good we will definitely be coming back.
Best Hawaiian restaurant in town and probably the only one that serves stuffed long johns, malasadas and pork hash.
Staff are great! Food is ono (delicious), serving sizes are huge.
Super friendly, attentive staff, great food, fresh to order.
Great food, good prices, good people. Will be back.
This place is awesome. Fried rice, pork hash, long John, spam musubi, all grinz from Hawaii! Try um out!
Great Aloha Welcome as soon as you step in the door. Awesome mix plate combo's, which is different from other Hawaiian hot spots in Vegas. Love the food and took home a six pack of Long Johns and they have Rice Cakkkkeee! Definitely 5 Stars! More...
Authentic Hawaiian Food, Made to Order everything is ONO, Long John, Pork Hash, Taro Turnovers
Long Johns. OMG. The bomb. Ahi Nachos a too die for. Can't wait to visit Vegas again soon. Going to recommend to my families that are local and who are going to visit. Enjoyed my eating experience.
This is a small establishment, small overhead, so be prepared for a wait. Aunty in the front is busy, but still so patient with customers (some of the customers need to chill with her! ). The food portions are large, so a few plates can be used to achieve a family style dining option. The taste! Spot on, probably the best mochicko chicken I've ever tasted (Keiki bento comes with a musubi, mochiko chicken, and French fries). The spicy poke bowl was HUGE! I'd define it recommend this place, the food is worth the wait. The ahi nachos came in a big portion, but don't expect too much fish, however the won ton chips and ailoli sauce make the dish worth having again. This place is well worth the price, and should definitely be visited when you have time. Oh and they sell rice cake on Saturdays only - first come first serve! Great job PIT! More...
Random off the beaten path hole in the wall about 1 mile from downtown has some pretty phenomenal Hawaiian eats.. guava malasadas, butterfish, etc. one of their specialties is this dish called pork hash. It's basically a Siu Mai dumpling filled with pork and potato hash. It's phenomenal but probably overlooked due to the strange name.. it's almost like a sweet Maine lobster taste and consistency which unexpected. All food made to order so it may take longer More...
Ordered Apple, Guava & Taro Turnovers, Shoyu Poke, Chow Fun, Poke Nachos, Pork Hash & the Butterfish plates and everything was ONO! This is a fantastic hole in the wall Hawaiian food restaurant. Outside doesn't look like much but their food is pretty good. Owners are humourous and nice that they treat you like family. WINNER WINNER LAU LAU DINNER!The staff is great and the food is even greater! I'm not lying when I say this has to be in my Top 3 for Hawaiian Food in Las Vegas. Everything is cooked when you order it - nothing sits on a shelf waiting to be reheated. So yes, it may take a longer than other places but it is worth it!I got the lau lau special. Hands down the best choice. The plate is massive. It has two scoops of rice, mac salad, lau lau, kalua pig, poke, and fried butterfish. Everything on the plate was flavorful & absolutely delicious. The taro turnover was a star. If you have ever been to Hawai'i and visited McD's when they have taro pies, the filling in the turnovers taste just like that. And it has got to be one of my favorite things in the world. Eat it while it is nice & hot. It's so good!Delicious food & welcoming staff make Pacific Island Taste stand out against the rest. I do, however, wish it was located in a more central part of town. I would go a lot more, that's for sure! Fingers crossed for a new location on the Southwest side of town! More...

Absolutely ONO and ordering was simple. Service was pleasant as expected and I will be back with friends! Lol
This place is definitely one of those best described as a hole in the wall place. Mixed in with a handful of other small establishments, this place is what I would call cozy because of its small size. I would say there are about 8 tables strung together that can sit 2 people each. Located in a small plaza off of the southern side of Charleston with the nearest main cross street being Maryland Parkway, parking is kind of limited for the lot does not have much room. When you come in, you have pics pretty much of all the food they serve on the wall to your left. Im glad I came in just shortly before the lunch hour because since they cook everything from scratch, your wait will definitely be much longer. At least you know that they dont microwave anything. After a couple minutes I decided on the Pit Bento Special ($12.99) which consists of Mochiko Chicken, Spam, Deep Fried Breaded Mahi Mahi, Teriyaki Beef, and Furikake Rice. The chicken which is deep fried, has a little bit of a crunch to it. The flavor was good. For me I like to dip things so asked for a side of teriyaki sauce and it only made it taste that much better. Of course what is a Hawaiian entree without spam? You get two pieces. The mahi mahi was just ok. Was thinking it was gonna be really greasy but it wasnt too bad. They give you a couple packets of tartar sauce to dip it in. The beef, which they give you plenty of, is smothered in teriyaki sauce. It was tender and flavorful. As for the rice its just basic with furikake sprinkled on top. I actually poured some teriyaki sauce on top of because I am pretty much a sauce guy so it made it even better.Service was very pleasant. The lady that took my order even explained me that since everything is cooked from scratch that it was gonna take some time which I can appreciate. She brings it out to you as soon as its done. For you folks with a sweet tooth, from what I saw, they had a nice assortment of pastries for your pleasure. They have malasadas which come in plain or filled with either custard or guava. They also have custard filled long johns, and lastly they have apple or taro turnovers. In closing, I will definitely come back. If I wasnt so full from my meal, I would have at least tried the malasadas. Next time I will definitely try it along with their poke bowl because the guy that sat next to me ordered it and it looked amazing. Kudos to PIT for having the check in special of a free pork hash which is basically a dumpling or siomai for those that are familiar. It was really good. Make sure to check in to get this. It's something about their poke bowls that keeps me coming back. I will literally make the drive here for it. It's that good, and it reminds me of the kind of poke I eat back home. They have a lot of other dishes to choose from and if you need extra help in picking something just look on the wall, some dishes got pictures. The place is small and comforting. Don't let the location stop you from visiting and trying their ono food. The employees I've encountered were warm and friendly.
