There was a mix-up from Yelp and the staff at Soulfood Kitchen was doing everything they could to figure out the issue (and it wasn't on Soulfood Kitchen's end). They even threw in an extra side. Just visited this restaurant . We are from Oklahoma . Here for a softball tournament at the Disney Complex and we had a taste for some soul food. I used the Google App to find this location. The Soul Food Kitchen says it all. It was just like being at my mama's house with all my auntie's over for Thanksgiving. LOL the food was fantastic the customer service was awesome and the way that the plate was packed instantly made me sleepy before I took my first bite. I knew I was going to have to have a nap immediately after eating the food. So I got everything to go. LOL I don't normally drink but I had to have a beer to go with that food it seemed only natural. Try everything on the menu I highly suggest you take some friends so that way I could try food off of each other's plates LMAO. Kobe and I gained about 5 lb after eating the delicious flavorful aromatic tastings of the Soul Food Kitchen. All of the sides and the desserts are definitely made from scratch. If you're trying to count calories or eat gluten free go somewhere else. This is for eaters with no known allergies and no intent on going to the gym later on. Man..... words don't describe the amount of goodness the comes from this place. I was craving soul food and found this place on yelp so I had to stop by. Although a smaller place (love hole in the wall places) the food was AMAZING! Literally the BEST fried chicken, Mac n cheese, greens and yellow rice & gravy I've EVER had!! The service was great as well. Jakara served the food for me and she very sweet, had a huge smile on her face and made me feel welcome! the young man on the cashier was also very nice. This little place is a gem! The cat fish and chicken tenders are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The ribs are melt in mouth delicious. And definitely try the red velvet cake for dessert. Everything is seasoned so well and the staff and owner are such wonderful and welcoming folks! The best soulfood in Orlando hands down! The restaurant is pretty small but the service is impeccable. I come here at least once a week and enjoy their fresh catfish, green beans, heavenly dressing, cornbread, and Mac n cheese. Also their peach cobbler doesn't play ! Mac n !! Normally I leave reviews of great places with long detail and usually many pictures. But as soon as I got it I tore into the food and there isn't even a place to sit to and eat in. Catfish was exceptional and not a typically overbreaded and overseasoned piece of deep fried salt. But ultimately I can't say enough about he Mac n Cheese. That deserves its own review. Rightfully so, Dennis asked me to leave a Atlantan's review of spot for the social before I even received my food. So at least he knows the product is legit. Great place, glad it was recommended from GA for my one lunch in town. Would definitely come back, especially if more beef or oxtails was on the menu.
