Our wedding at Oxnead was an absolutely perfect day. The grounds are just unbelievably gorgeous and made for amazing photographs. We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside in the grounds on the island, which was just incredible, followed by a beautiful little indoor ceremony in the Orangery, which is a lovely building. Although we were lucky enough to not need an indoor option for our main ceremony, it was so comforting to know that the option was there all ready to go! The staff were so attentive and considerate throughout the day, including leaving cake in the bedrooms, and setting out our cards for us to look at at the end of the night. Our wedding planner Ziggy and all of the staff worked so hard to ensure that everything went so smoothly, and it enabled us to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about anything! The all vegan menu was delicious, and they were so flexible about including our suggestions of canapés and a salad. The accommodation is absolutely gorgeous and finished to a very high standard. Being able to have all of our close family and wedding party stay with us the nights before and after made it such an extra special experience. We cannot recommend Oxnead Hall highly enough. From the moment I had my first meeting with UNV I knew I wanted to use this company to plan my wedding. They were incredibly professional and nothing was too much bother. I attended my best friends wedding at Oxnead Hall and it was the most wonderful day. We were all so happy with all of it from start to finish. The venue was beautiful, but by far what made the day was the staff. Nothing was too much hassle, and the finishing touches you did were perfect. You were all so friendly and the service really made the day. The food was out of this world, presented beautifully and tasted amazing! The chefs are very talented. We had our wedding on the 6th July, it’s gone so quick and wish we could do it all over again. Pentney abbey is an absolutely stunning venue and all our guests agreed. The staff were so helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble. Even when we were thinking of things late at night that we forgot to ask and was emailing Jaymi and got a quick reply. We got married here on the 2/8/19 and not only is the venue stunning but the wedding co-ordinators team were brilliant. I’ve put off writing this, as I just can’t seem to sum the words up of just how perfect our day was. From the most beautifully kept grounds, wonderful caring and attentive staff, amazing food, to the most amazing wedding planner Lucy, who was always on the other end of the phone answering any silly questions, and who was such a kind calm person to have around on the day. We stayed with our family the night before our wedding (which I thoroughly recommend) in the most luxurious of accommodations, and made it easier for the photographer to jump from bridal suite to grooms room for pre wedding photos. The venue looks so stunning in all our photos, and all our guests really enjoyed walking around the grounds and water. Where do we begin. From the very beginning, looking around this beautiful venue, to the day itself, everything has been so well organised. The help we received from Jaymi was above and beyond. She answered all of our questions (sometimes multiple times I fear!) and kept us calm throughout all the planning. Then on the day itself, it was so smooth. Everyone commented how relaxed the day was, and that is all down to the skill of Jaymi and her team! Everything about the lead up and the day has been absolutely incredible - The venue itself is breathtaking when we first looked around Oxnead we knew it was the place for our wedding! The food package was amazing and the menu we chose all of our guests absolutely loved there were alot of clean empty plates! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the guests they were amazing and most of all our wedding planner (Lucy) was brilliant, she couldn’t do enough for us, throughout the whole day she was constantly checking that everything ran smoothly and making sure we were having the best time, Nothing was too much trouble and I just wish we could go back and do it all over again! Chris and I got married at Oxnead Hall on 20th July and it really was the best day ever! We live in Australia but planning the wedding was made easy by Lucy. She was amazing from start to finish, super organised and always on hand to answer my many questions! She really is an asset to the UNV team. The venue itself is beautiful - we had our ceremony in the long room and then canapés and drinks in the stunning grounds. The team ensured the day went super smoothly so we could just relax and enjoy and didn’t have to worry about the little details. I would also highly recommend staying at the venue the night before - the bedrooms and facilities are amazing and it made the whole weekend very special. We got married at Oxnead Hall on 29 June and it was the most perfect day from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning and speaks for itself. The staff were amazing and in particular Lucy Turner was fantastic from the moment we met her. In the lead up to the wedding she would respond so quickly to any queries, no matter how random or silly! We got married on the 27th of June this year. From just looking at the venue back in October we completely fell in love with the magical venue and Ziggy our wedding coordinator! From start to finish Ziggy was always super responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The venue were very good at dealing with last minute changes to the day. The team were brilliant on the day, especially when we had a hiccup with our DJ hire, they dealt with the situation so fast that none of our guests even noticed and it wasn't long until everyone was having a good boogie on the dancefloor! The catering team were phenomenal, with guests commenting on the high quality of the food and decent portion sizes (my family are foodies.) The gardens are so well kept, everyone was commenting on beautiful they were! Since our wedding guests have been in touch to let us know what a fabulous venue Oxnead Hall (the best and most unique they had seen for a while) and what an amazing day they had! I cannot recommend or thank Oxnead Hall enough for their efforts to our special day. I went to a wedding at this venue and was totally blown away by the place.The setting is stunning, sitting on the banks of the upper Bure, within easy reach of Norwich but far enough away to be completely self contained and peaceful. The food served in the reception was of a high quality, even with a large number of guests. Each dish was decorated with edible flowers in the theme of the wedding. It also was extremely well put together and tasted very good. So much more sophisticated than you'd expect with mass catering.The staff were obviously well trained and motivated. I really could not fault them in any way.There were two bars. one in the wedding hall itself and another in the gardens. The bar in the gardens only took cash. Oxnead Hall will always have a place in both our hearts - If you are lucky enough to marry here or even be a guest at a wedding there I’m sure you will realise what we mean . The accommodation and facilities are luxurious, well kept, and you are so spoilt for options for the celebrations on your special day. The gardens are beautiful, spectacular and we imagine would work for a wedding in any season. The Unique Norfolk Venues team are amazing and it’s crazy how they can pull everything together considering everyone’s wedding is unique. We will always remember fondly, how everything was well organised, ran on time and how the team looked after all our guests very well. Lastly, the chef was a star, we went completely off menu for the Wedding Breakfast, they did all catering for onsite guests for the weekend and even made Brownies for our room hampers. On our actual wedding day, the team even made additional things for one of our gluten free guests. They are just the perfect team!We would like to finish with my wedding tips. Live it up at the food tasting, it is so much fun and you get to see how your guests will experience the Wedding Breakfast. All the suppliers are fantastic but our four favourite suppliers in no particular order are 1. Carrie O’Donnell (Event Pianist) - This lady is all class and her music created the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding Breakfast. 2. Mark Nortcliffe (Wedding Photographer) This guy was our hero and made everyone feel wonderful for the photos and he even carries a sewing knit for wardrobe malfunctions and 3. Victoria Smith (Chair covers and Aisle runner) really went out of her way to get the colours we wanted and also supplied the runner last minute. 4. Amie Childs (For Keeps) – Amie did a fantastic job at all the wedding stationary and signage for the day in silver and white which looked very elegant matching the venue.Overall we love Oxnead Hall for hosting a perfect day of celebrations with family and friends! We got married at Oxnead Hall in May. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the wedding venue for us. The expansive, perfectly manicured gardens and the beautiful buildings provided the ideal setting for our guests. It’s big enough to explore but small enough not to feel lost. All of the bedrooms are fitted to a very high quality and the facilities available on site are amazing. The staff were wonderful and so friendly and accommodating. We got married at Oxnead Hall in May and had an incredible day. The setting is unbeatable and the ease of having the church on site was a big factor in us choosing the venue. The accommodation is clean and beautifully presented and it was extra special to make a weekend out of the wedding and spend time with family and friends enjoying the venue. The service at Oxnead is second to none. The whole team was friendly and highly professional. Our wedding coordinator, Lucy Turner, is a wonder woman. She went above and beyond during every step of our wedding journey - replying to all messages promptly and with enthusiasm, sending suggestions and recommendations and providing invaluable insight. On the day, she made sure everything was seamless and was always there with exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed it - always one step ahead of us! My sister and new brother in law recently married at Oxnead Hall (19/05/19) and what can I say other than the venue was amazing! The staff and wedding planner especially could not do enough to make sure their special day went without a hitch. Everything was planned and timed perfectly so that nothing had to be cut short or skipped out. George and I were married one week ago at Oxnead Hall and, even though we have been thinking this whole time of how to sum up our absolute amazing day and what an incredible experience it was getting married and working with the team at Oxnead, we still can’t quite find the correct words to fully explain it! Lucy (UNV Wedding Planner) and the team worked tirelessly with us during the 18 month build up and the day itself - it all went so smoothly and we couldn’t have asked for anything else. We were a little worried as we currently live in London for work and were not able to be in the immediate area for meetings and setting up. However, Lucy was flexible in how we communicated and completely set our minds at ease. My endless messages were always quickly and fully responded to. The grounds and the venue are immaculate and the team work so hard to maintain this. Their friendliness and professionalism is fantastic. Having the flexibility of the rooms and the ‘Living Areas’ is a great added touch and something we were looking for in a Wedding venue. We have just attended my daughter and her now husbands wedding at Oxnead hall . The whole experience was fabulous from the accommodation to all the facilities and rooms . They were all wonderful and definitely had the wow factor . Family and their friends stayed in the halls accommodation which are gorgous with everything you could imagine . The cottages are self catering and are of very high standard . The beautiful church on site ,the orangery ,the barn and fountain room are all spectacular , and the food was exquisite . Simply stunning. We just got married at Oxnead hall. 37 people stayed in the accommodation for two nights. The chefs and waiting staff did a two course dinner on the friday and cooked breakfast on the sunday which was very much needed. We had around 90 days guests and 140 evening guests. The venue is unbelievable and the grounds... I'm not sure I've been anywhere more beautiful. Ours guests were absolutely blown away. There were audible gasps at some of the landscape and grounds. The accommodation is beautifully decorated, high quality and ALL the beds without exception were perfectly comfortable. Everyone who stayed remarked on this. The food was the best I've had at any wedding... if I do say so myself. The beautiful ceremony room and great barn are stunning as they are, but also very adaptable if, like us, you have big plans for the decor. Cannot fault anything. When we got back to our room at the end of the day, our room had been tidied. There was champagne and chocolate out for us. Cannot believe it. It doesn't get any better than that!! THANK YOU!!!! What a place to get married! Tom and I had the best day of our lives at Oxnead Hall. We fell in love with it at first sight and it had everything we wanted from a venue - stunning grounds, gorgeous barn, the perfect amount of accommodation. .. all maintained to such a high standard.
