What’s your signature dish?
My signature style is comfort food with a twist. I enjoy cooking all the foods that remind me of family gatherings at Grandma’s house and then taking them up a notch by infusing my own seasonings and spices to make them my own.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I don’t like to assume that I know what others want to eat so I don’t offer proposed menus. I allow all my clients to select their own menu from my list of options posted on my website (www.ourtablecatering.com). I believe this is the best way to create a menu for each event because every event is different and so are the people involved. Customized, personal and specific to the client’s needs is how I create the perfect menu.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the creative process involved in cooking, and I love to make people happy with the food I cook.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 20+ years as an Administrative Assistant and Event Planner, I was transitioned into a management position at a campground conference center. I served there for 9 years as the kitchen and staff manager. I spent most of my days in the kitchen and it wasn’t long after my arrival that “lead cook” was added to my role. I fell in love with cooking for groups. After multiple people asked me about catering their private events, I decided it was time to go out on my own. Although I do still cook for the conference center when they call me, I am thoroughly enjoying owning my own catering business.

I have only two goals: 1) make delicious food that you and your guests will love, and 2) provide top-notch customer service that exceeds your expectations and all industry standards. I believe that YOUR success is my success. I work hard to keep my prices reasonable too because good food and great customer service should not cost a fortune.
