I was initially very skeptical about contractors coming to my door until the second Saturday in February. I was heading to a meeting and did not have time to talk. I'd previously spoken to several other contractors promising that they could get me a new roof until they learned that my insurance company had dropped my coverage. So when Nuram Lee approached me on this busy Saturday morning, I was already prepared to give him the same answer I'd given the others. Except, when I told him that we didn't have insurance on the roof, he immediately put us in contact with a public adjuster who gave us quite a bit of insight on what the insurance company could and could not do. That started this process for our new roof. From that day to the install on April 8th and even the follow-up inspection, we've been pleased with the performance of this company. Mr. Lee quoted us a price, better than all of the other roofers. They did all of the back office work, i.e. (contacting the HOA, getting approvals, contacting the insurance company, etc.), set a date, and completed the project on time and in one day. Our new roof looks great... far better than any of our neighbors' who recently had a roof replacement and the quality of the materials and premium upgrades are outstanding. Orion Roofing & Construction were absolutely phenomenal! While requesting for home service, I contacted several roofing companies and Orion was the only company that was responsive and consistent. Orion provided a reasonable price range for the roofing job and explained what the job would include. They dropped off a packet of information along with product samples for us to choose from. My Home Owners Association had rules I needed to follow for my roof and Orion explained clearly what would and wouldn’t work with the HOA standards. They helped me chose the right materials I needed and even helped with the HOA request. They were also flexible with material costs telling me what substitutes I could switch out to save money. They told me exactly what I was paying for and some of the standard materials they offered were actually sold as premium items from the other roofing companies. They don’t believe in cutting corners and that really showed in their work and the materials they provided. They even trimmed some of my tree branches for free since the branches were touching my roof and that would ruin my shingles in the future. Orion runs specials every now and then. For the month of April we got a year of free pest control paid for! They also have a lifetime warranty on their work which is the best warranty of all the roofing companies in Houston. They filed a separate warranty with the shingle company for free to so the shingles themselves are covered for 40 years. Overall, Orion was very professional, flexible, and transparent. Outstanding work! Randall Nettles of Orion Roofing & Construction replaced my roof in record time. Randall had a team of 8 roofers who arrive at dawn, and were on the roof promptly at 7 am. The whole team worked very hard until about 6 pm. The following day, the roofing waste container was removed, and a magnetic device was used to pick up any remaining nails on my lawn. I’ve honestly never seen a team of roofers work so hard and efficiently. I also had was some drywall work done on a few areas of the ceiling that had some water damage due to the old leaky roof. The drywall was done seamlessly and the texture and paint match well. Randall Nettles exceeded my expectations. I give him the highest rating on pricing, timeliness, materials and workmanship. Orion Roofing Construction began work 8/10/2016, with a projected finish date of 8/12/2016. They completed the work a day early and the roof is beautiful. Clayton Kilgore and Frank Simmons set exemplary standards in person as well as over the phone. He takes the time to answer all questions and concerns you may have. An answer to my prayers... After being scammed by my previous roofer, which had numerous interior leaks within 4 months and a host of very poor workmanship issues. ORION ROOFING made a full report of all the issues. They walked me through the roofing process, made it stress free as possible and gave me the shingles of my choice. They took narrative videos and pictures of the roofing process to demonstrate all the right materials and quality was put in place. (I was out of town) They went above and beyond to ensure all the roofing elements were to the highest standard such as redecking, correct counter flashing for the edges, chimney top was also waterproofed and sealed as a bonus.
