From the minute we started our newborn shoot with Regina I knew that I had found not only an amazing photographer, but a gem of a human. Regina is friendly, warm, easy to work with, and talented. She made me feel beautiful and confident at two weeks postpartum, and the photos she captured of our little family make me teary-eyed. They are authentic images of our life with a newborn, just with really good lighting - and yeah, ok, maybe we all showered that day too! I was honestly a bit hesitant to make the investment in this photo shoot, but looking back I am so glad that I did. I think my husband sums it up best when he said, "We should probably just give her a preemptive retainer for the second kid." Regina is a consummate professional and a lovely human being. People at my wedding were so impressed with her diligence and friendly demeanor — I had at least twenty people ask me where I found her! Regina did a fabulous job of capturing our family during our newborn photo shoot. She took beautiful photos of our new daughter and managed to include our cat and dog who are not always the most cooperative. She was so warm and friendly and a pleasure to work with. Regina came highly recommended by a friend, who had used Origin Photo for her recent wedding. Her photos turned out amazing, so we scheduled an appointment to meet with Regina. Upon meeting her, we instantly connected with her warm and approachable style. In addition, she asked tons of questions about how we wanted the day to go and what type of balance we wanted between posed and candid shots. It was important to us that photographer we chose captured the special moments of the day and not simply the standard, boring portraits. Her portfolio made it clear that we were in the right place. We hired her on the spot and couldn't have been happier! She made great suggestions based on her experience, was extremely organized, and was assertive while remaining low-key. Not to mention the photos were breath-taking! Several people have commented that our photos belong in a bridal magazine...and I can certify that is not because my husband and I are models. ;o) Regina is so talented and her work is beautiful, but most importantly she was a pleasure to have as part of the best day of our lives. Your wedding day is a long and sometimes stressful one--having a photographer barking orders at you as if they are the central part of the day was not what we wanted. Having been in several weddings, I was not interested in a photographer who took center stage and dominated the schedule of the day. Regina is amazing! She is so warm and kind. She doesn't take your average, boring, stiff family photos! She really captured the feel of our family and our home in gorgeous snapshots. She also created the most lovely, bound photo book for us, which I particularly appreciated since I always say I'm going to get around to making a book and never actually do it...We will definitely be having our annual family photos taken with her. Just a totally fun time....she had two 6-8 years old in the palm of her hand and made them look positively delightful. This was just a family session, then we had the big wedding and she beautifully captured the whole day, from family staged shots to all the fun and excitement of the night. We've worked with Regina for two maternity and two newborn sessions to date. She is relaxed, patient (key when working with a toddler) and always professional. Somehow in all the chaos, she captures real and beautiful moments of our family. I also love that she works with us to choose our favorites and commit to printing and framing them. In this digital age we become so fixated on owning 'files' we forget the best part of a photo is being able to reflect on it hanging there on our walls every day.
