I am a visual artist who works in a multitude of media with a passion for animals and nature. I work with acrylic paint, colored pencil and graphite mainly.
I own my own business, Origami Mami, which brings after school Origami Enrichment classes to several local elementary schools in the East Bay.

What do you love most about your job?
I love working in the arts and especially teaching art to kids and adults alike. I have taught Origami to kids for the past 8 plus years and have built up my own skill level in the visual arts during this time.
I love the flexibility of being an artist and being able to create on a daily basis!
I love meeting other artists and becoming inspired to challenge myself to learn new things.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My daughter inspired me to start my own business . When she was 2 years old she loved birds and I thought I should somehow try to find a way to bring these creatures into her life. I found an Origami bird-making kit one day while I was visiting a local museum and from there on out I was addicted to paper folding! From there, my other art interests developed and together they complement each other in their own unique art forms.
