Orange Design Studio has designed a number of bespoke developments for our company over the six year period we have worked with them. Their aspiration for fantastic design is at the forefront of their work ethos which really pushes us to create something bespoke and unique on every scheme. They have always been very attentive with their construction drawing packages and also extremely easy to work with on and off site. Our latest project was the restoration of a historic gatehouse in Mirfield where we added an open, light contemporary extension. Jake and his team at Orange Design Studio have been an absolute pleasure to deal with on our project.After reading several positive reviews we organised to meet him at our property to discuss potential options and to learn a little bit about what Orange Design Studio could offer us. They were punctual with timings, efficient in their project costings and we felt like they controlled the project really well.They provided us with a number of fantastic options, all of which were truly original and we hadn't imagined been able to have something with such creativity integrated into our project.We worked with Jake to pull together what we liked to form our final scheme. After that Orange swiftly managed the planning and building control process with ease. They dealt with planners and neighbours questions without having any effect on our scheme which meant the planning process was completely stress-free!Jake and his team also had a number of contractors on board, all of whom seemed very professional and took great pride in their work. Again, as Orange looked after the costings and the project management aspects of the project, it meant we could sit back and relax whilst our project came together.In the end, we are completely over the moon with the design, finished space and the quality of the build. We are so very happy that we decided to work with Jake and the team at Orange Design Studio. We used Orange Design from initial concept design to completion of a project to renovate and add a contemporary extension to a derelict Victorian gatehouse.
Their designs were cutting edge but at the same time they understood the practical aspects and budgets for the project.
They were personable and enthusiastic and supported us throughout the project.
As a result the project was an outstanding success and the finished property is something that we can all be proud of.
We would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Orange Design Studio based in Mirfield have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Jake Hinchliffe, the director has worked tirelessly to produce thorough and comprehensive plans to redevelop and extend a converted detached cottage and barn.
The property once had small dark rooms with small windows that blocked a view that can only be described as outstanding. It now presents open plan living with underfloor heating and bespoke architectural features. Two very impressive and sophisticated skylights allow natural light to flood across the space in conjunction with floor to ceiling, low profile sliding doors, that take full advantage of the views across the picturesque valley and the iconic landmark of Castle Hill.
Not only is the result superb, Jake is very personable, professional and so easy to communicate with; I highly recommend Orange Design Studio.

Jake took the time to get to know myself and my husband and then came up with a brilliant design . Jake not only designed our project, but also helped with finding materials, builders , etc which made the whole job so much easier.
He is a calming influence when things don’t go to plan. We love our home and that’s down to Jake if you are wanting something modern with a bit of a twist we would highly recommend him.
Make sure you have plenty of tea bags and flap jack in when he visits!!!

His scope of services were flexible and adaptable to suit our requirements and excellent value for money. From the way Orange Design first worked with us, understanding our needs, revising the drawings, making practical suggestions, obtaining all the necessary planning and building control permissions – through to the way they managed the tendering process on our behalf, approaching builders and then making frequent site visits during the build phase, it was all reassuring to know that we had a professional we could rely on and call on as the various needs arose.
