Personal Trainers

From the moment I contacted Ash, I was immediately reassured and impressed with his professionalism. He made me feel very comfortable - I wasn’t sure about having a male PT - and I have never had any doubts around trusting that he will make sure I am safe and whilst he does push me (I’m very lazy and that’s his job after all! ), he is an intelligent and very considerate person and makes the sessions genuinely fun. He understood very quickly what level I was at and increased this carefully but with new interesting challenges. I liked that he would check in the day after to make sure I was aching in all the right places - I was - and I was pleased that he focused on my technique as I had no injuries at all and this is the first time I’ve exercised in many years. I was relieved I didn’t have to go running 🤣and my programme was completed from home with resistance training. Currently on a online training program with Ash since November. I've tried loads of diets , slimming clubs , shakes etc before and nothing worked for me and I personally couldn't not stick to anything for more than a few weeks. Working with Ash has honestly changed my complete outlook , I've lost over a stone. I no longer feel food controls me , I'm healthier and in a happier space mentally than I've been for quite some time. I was quite apprehensive about starting PT sessions as I’ve never really enjoyed doing circuit classes or anything similar to that and preferred more dance related classes. However I’m so glad I decided to go for it and start sessions with Ash. I absolutely love the variety of the sessions, how much I’ve learned, but mostly how I’ve finally experienced getting that endorphin rush from exercise where it truly works your body properly. I have been doing online training with Ash for nearly a week now and I’m loving it. My aim is to lose weight and get fit. I have tried nearly every diet out there but they don’t suit me due to unusual medical problems. I mentioned all these to Ash in our first chat and he didn’t batter an eyelid. The exercise he has set me are just right. Hard enough for you to know it’s making a difference but they are possible. I had a couple that I couldn’t do, I contacted Ash and he changed them straight away for me. I am just coming to the end of my 3 month jourmey with Ash at Optimal Personal Training. I can honestly say that Ash is a warm and fun person and very experienced in what he does. His tailor made programme to meet my needs, has accomplished the weight loss and fitness goals I wanted to achieve. I’ve been using optimal personal training for a couple of months now, and it’s the best thing I ever did, I wasn’t keen on using the gym but with OPT I can work out in my own environment, with the equipment brought to me, level of service is definitely outstanding and I couldn’t of asked for a better trainer, he’s encouraging and pushes you to reach your goals when you need it,always on time and so professional but really friendly which makes working out fun

"For the first time in my life to get fit; lose weight; tone up; feel healthier and happier and have more energy physically and mentally". Too much to ask I said.....Ash said immediately all was possible. 6 weeks later I can confirm he was right. I have lost weight but that's not what I'm really grateful for, I am fitter (although still can't cope with Burpees!!!), I am more toned, I feel healthier, happier and have more energy mentally and physically. A long way to go, and it isn't easy but Ash makes it easier and possible. Wish I'd started sooner and would recommend to all my closest friends. Also to add, better than a gym membership as this actually happens, more intense and more personal to your needs. If you're thinking about it, go for it, you won't regret it, it can only bring positives. More...

Would highly recommend Ash, he really has helped me achieve the weight loss I wanted, I lacked a lot of confidence especially having three small children and not being able to focus on my personal appearance since training I’ve felt more happier, healthier and more confident, it’s been difficult to find the right person who would make me feel I can achieve my goals with a instant result like Ash has, he’s friendly and will always makes sure I don’t miss out on training even when It’s going into he’s personal time, Ash explains the workouts really well, brings he’s own equipment so done needed, does demos and answers all questions I need to know and also makes each workout different so I’m getting all the different workout benefits without getting bored, Ash also does mobile PT which really helps as I don’t drive which is a bonus, good value and worth every penny! My first experience of a personal training relationship, Ash was recommended to me. Firstly Ash is very easy to get on with and has a very friendly and personable approach. His sessions are tailored to meet my needs and each one is challenging but enjoyable. He uses a variety of equipment and exercises to keep me motivated and progressing, giving me encouragement and guidance on how to perform each exercise safely and for maximum results. In just a few weeks I have seen a huge positive difference in fitness and strength along with some fat loss, weight loss and changes to my body shape. I’m also sleeping better too. I use Ash as a complimentary service to my own training however since working with him I have achieved much much more than training on my own. I would recommend Ash to anybody looking for a PT. Ash has a wealth of knowledge about both nutrition and fitness and uses both to work with you on your own personal fitness plan. Both myself and my wife spent years going to the gym and had little or no real results until we met Ash, who then visited our home, just one hour a week, and within the first month noticed real change in both physique, fitness, and real weight loss, reduced fat levels and muscle growth. I always wanted to lose a couple of stone, tone up and feel confident about myself. But I also hate feeling intimidated at the gym, or feel judged if I can't do certain exercises. After a bit of research, I found Ash who brought the gym to the home. And I can honestly say, it's the best decision I made. I don't have to leave the house, I don't have to go to a scary gym, and I get to have quality exercise and routines that have made a huge difference to my body. I've been using Ash's services since Dec 2018 - we're now at the start of Feb 2019 and I've already lost over a stone. Obviously you get out what you put in so that includes food. Ash's expertise is great and he really takes the time to talk through meal plans. But don't be put off! You don't have to starve yourself, stop eating certain foods or any of that nonsense, so long as it fits within your calorie target, you're good. Ash is a great guy, fun and not your typical PT trainer. More...

Exercise sessions are tailored to clients abilities, personal goals and exercise preferences to ensure progress towards goals in the most enjoyable way possible. Nutrition plans are similarly structured with the overall goal in mind first and foremost but with consideration given towards personal food preferences, And a heavy emphasis put n educating clients to be able to make good food choices consistently for life.

The key to achieving all goals in consistency. Any plan no matter how well structured means nothing if you can't or don't stick to it. The best nutrition and workout plans are like a balancing act if it's too easy you'll see no results but if the plan is perfect but too hard to stick to then again no results. A better approach is to be good enough to progress towards your goals in a way you can consistently stick to.

I love the way that health and fitness positively influences all aspects of life such as gaining more confidence, or being able to persue more physically active hobbies, or simply having clothes fitting better and compliments from friends and co workers.
