Right from the start I've always felt really well supported by the coaches and by fellow members encouraging me along. Don't be put off by the weights - you're always advised to scale to what you can do both in weights and gymnastics and I have certainly improved in strength and technique over the past 10 months - I hadn't done a handstand in 25+ years but I can do them again now! Love Crossfit! Love Crossfit Pendle!
I originally left the review above after only a few weeks of joining Crossfit Pendle back in April/May 2015. Recently I thought I should come back and add to it as I don't feel that it does Crossfit and Crossfit Pendle Justice. Crossfit in itself is great for absolutely anybody! The WOD's (workouts) can be tailored to any ability. If you're up for a challenge, bored with your regular gym or have never attempted fitness before I would recommend Crossfit. The Coaching at Pendle is second to none. They really know their stuff and want you to help you get the best out of yourself. If you live in the area or are willing to travel like I do (34 mile round trip for me) then get yourself down to Crossfit Pendle. You won't regret it! More...

I have been training about 4 years starting at home Insanity DVD. Then my friend introduced to gym and how to lift. End off I fell in love with lifting and still loved cardio. After a bad shoulder injury and a year of trying to get back to it in a regular gym I had pretty much given up. Then I saw that CrossFit Pendle were doing a free taster and I thought, why not? They totally understood where I was at, the two free fundamental sessions were awesome and I couldn’t wait to get at it. In a couple of weeks I had gone from driving past my old gym thinking “Can’t be arsed” to looking forward to a morning workout. Honestly I can’t rave about this place enough. I joined Crossfit Pendle in June 2017 and it has truly been the best move I have ever made. I was going to Lifestyle Fitness for years and became tired of the same routine and was losing motivation. I am stronger and fitter than I have been - it really does put you through your paces but if you like a challenge and you want results fast THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Quality spinning classes. I'm not a fitness fanatic, but need to do some activity as my job is so sedentary. I've been going to other gyms for over 5 years and enjoy early morning classes before work. However Crossfit Spin is like nothing else as your pushed very hard, which is what you need if your gonna be sat on your arse for the rest of the day. More...

I joined Crossfit Pendle in July 2017 after a 5 star recommendation from a fellow fitness fanatic. I have been involved in sports most of my life but was unprepared for the buzz, sweat, fun and welcome that Crossfit Pendle provides. I absolutely love it and in just over 7 months I’m feeling fitter and stronger than ever. I injured my shoulder in October and rather than being excluded from the WODS the coaches all showed me alternative moves and scaled it down to include me. I have been accessing 1-1 PT’s with Mike to strengthen my shoulder and can honestly say that he has done much more for me than any physiotherapist ever has! Everyone at Crossfit Pendle welcome and support you regardless of your fitness level. And, when you’re not at your optimum they will offer you support, encouragement and guidance to enable you to become stronger than you ever thought possible. I’ve got the crossfit bug and I won’t be looking for a cure!!

Competed today in Only The Brave at Crossfit Pendle ...what a great place! Such an awesome atmosphere with supportive coaches helping you to really get the best out of your WOD’s! If you’ve never tried Crossfit I cannot recommend it enough ...all exercises are scaleable and achievable for all fitness levels in a supportive, friendly environment! My first taste of CrossFit was watching my mum in a competition and i remember how good the atmosphere was and the sense of community so I decided to give it a try and booked a taster session jess was so lovely and showed me how I could scale everything down to suit my fitness levels and I’m so happy with how far I’ve come! I’ve been a member for just over a year now and joining is one of the best things I’ve done. Before I joined I was just turning up to a normal gym going through the motions not really making any progress and struggling for motivation. Decided to give Crossfit a go and from the start I loved it. All the coaches do a top job and help you throughout the classes and to see the progress I’ve made in a year is amazing. After attending CrossFit for just over a month, I can already see my fitness improving. For those people who know me, I’ve always been a keen fitness fanatic and love all sports but Crossfit is a different type of exercise where I scale each exercise to my own ability (as I’m not physically strong) and in a short period of time, i have begun to see my endurance and strength improving. I booked onto my first session, and arriving on my own was daunting but everyone was really welcoming and people are forthcoming about helping you when you don’t understand what to do. Joining Crossfit Pendle has genuinely been one of the best decisions I've ever made.I'm the fittest, strongest and happiest I've ever been. The change in my health both physically and mentally in such a short space of time is amazing. The classes have small numbers and are varied and fun. The coaches are all massively supportive and with their encouragement I've achieved things I wouldn't have thought possible.The best thing about Crossfit Pendle though is the community. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and supportive and I've made so many amazing friends. I've never been to a more social, open and friendly gym and would recommend it to anyone. More...

Rapidly approaching 40 and a recent ex smoker I wanted to 'get fit' but knew jogging or a regular gym would not motivate me. I then heard about Crossfit, so I Googled it and liked the concept. Crossfit Pendle was nearest to me so I booked on for the fundamentals. I'm so glad I did as that was nearly 2 years ago. I've loved every class and I'm now the fittest I have ever been with the motivation to keep going!The coaches are all fantastic. They will give you all the advice and guidance you need whatever your ability. Everybody at Crossfit Pendle are so friendly and supportive. I'd highly recommend it to anybody of any age or ability. Great coaches, great atmosphere and great members.I have only been a member for a couple of months and already addicted. CrossFit Pendle is like no other Gym or fitness centre. The facilities are excellent, the coaches are amazingly helpful. I've been a member of several gyms and leisure centres in the past and was constantly looking for the next, new fitness class that would add some variety to an otherwise boring fitness routine. I completed my fundamentals session at Crossfit Pendle almost two and a half years ago and I've never looked back. The coaches are fantastic and it's great to be able to wander into the gym each day and know that all the programming is done for you, you just turn up and work out with friends! Crossfit Pendle is an excellent gym!
I have had a number of gym memberships in this area and nothing comes close to the quality of Crossfit Pendle!
The coaches are excellent, always friendly and welcoming and most of all they know their stuff and definitely practice what they preach!
There is plenty of variety in classes from spinning to gymnastics. They really to cater for all needs and abilities.

I have tried going to a traditional gym but never really found it interesting. The trainers at Crossfit Pendle teach you the correct technique and will show you different options to build up to it if you are not capable when you start. Not only do you get fit you also learn the correct way to exercise. Would recommend to anyone who is considering giving it a go. More...

Amazing alternative to your standard commercial gym. Knowledgeable coaches and other members who are happy to provide pointers on both technique and nutrition.
