After previously visiting Opikopi Guest House, we decided to host our mother's 80th birthday celebration there. It turned out to be the best decision. Opikopi and Peppercorn Restaurant turned the event into a truly wonderful occasion. The food was superb, the staff VERY helpful and attentive, without being obtrusive. Stay was as alwys excellent and staff makes you feel important and at home. Rooms are clean. Food is very tasty prepared and served warm. Room service fast and sufficient and equipment in good working order. Background music is soft on ear and compliment the dinning room. Gardens is neatly kept. Dies war der letzte Stop vor dem Rückflug. Um zur Unterkunft zu gelangen muss man erst mal durch ein Tor fahren, das einem überhaupt Zugang zu diesem Ortsteil gewährt. Auch das Haus selbst ist umgeben von hohen Mauern. ||Das Zimmer war sehr schön ausgestattet und geräumig, das Bad war ebenfalls sehr groß. Vor der Tür gab es auch noch mal zwei Stühle, obwohl vor der Bar/dem Restaurantbereich und am Pool auch reichlich Sitzgelegenheiten vorhanden sind.||Sehr nettes Personal. Our last night of a 3 week trip in South Africa. We did not want to go into any city and be close to the airport. The arrival was easy (google maps) and the reception was friendly. We had room 7 and 8 very close to the reception, pool and restaurant. Parking available next to our room. We enjoyed the early dinner on the premises, since we finished an intense period of traveling. We went to bed early but all had trouble with the high pillows. Eventhough you are in a residential area off the highway we did experience some noise a certain times during the night. By far the best Guest House I've stayed in while on business in Pretoria and Johannesburg.
