Alyssa is an excellent trainer who tailors workouts and nutrition information exactly to her client's preferences. I came to Alyssa not really knowing what I wanted, and searching for something more from my fitness regimen. She not only helped me to find my goal, but also created a nutrition guidance and workout plan catered to obtaining that goal. As a 26 year old, I don't think I have ever been stronger in my life, and am excited about my future physique as well! I highly recommend her! More...

I'm 64 years old and I have Fibromyalgia! Some days it's hard just getting up in the morning.  Exercise was something I wanted to do but wasn't quite sure I could. Then I met Alyssa and boy was she up for the challenge. She has a great personality and we hit it off right away. When she came for my first assessment she had me get up from the floor.  I couldn't do it without assistance!  Now I can do it with no hands!  Alyssa is the best trainer!  She always starts our sessions with "how are you feeling and how is your body feeling?"  No matter what the answer she will come up with a workout that fits me.  One of the things I like is that it is not her workout.  It's mine! She will demonstrate the exercise and then she watches me doing it. She watches every muscle to see if you're doing it right and guides you through each rep. I have never felt so confident with my physical abilities.  I feel stronger than ever before. I don't know where I would be without her. No matter where you are with your physical abilities Alyssa will get you to the next level. Alyssa is awesome!!! I have hip and back problems and she totally works me out without hurting my hip and back. I am in better shape than ever.  I'm 57 years old and feel like I'm 40 'cuz of Alyssa's training. I am confident that any age or any physical shape can be made better by Alyssa. More...

When I started working with Alyssa I was in a rough place on my weight loss journey. I was at a stand still, I hated working out and I had a bad relationship with food. In a very short amount of time she changed my life! I looked forward to our work out sessions,even the ones on my own. I felt she was invested in me and my life and always kept things light and encouraging. The biggest change for me was my outlook on food. I stopped feeling guilty about food. I stopped feeling sorry for myself, for feeling like I was "dieting" all the time. Because I wasn't dieting anymore. I joke that she used her ninja mind tricks to change my perspective...and I'm still not sure she didn't ;) I got so much more then a great work out from Alyssa. Let's be honest, postpartum body can really suck. I was always afraid to work with ripped trainers at the gym because It had been years since I had really been a continuous work out routine. Alyssa met me where I was at. She began by giving me a detailed questionnaire making sure it was safe for me to work out which I really appreciated since I have some joint issues. Not only was I surprised at how non intimidating our first workout was, I felt so welcomed with bringing my crazy toddler along with me. Every workout we did she was so understanding of my crazy mom life and I feel that is hard to find for a trainer. Not only that but she is full of constant and real motivation and inspiration. I love that she doesn't only share her highlight reels on instagram and instead encourages us to accept ourselves for where we are and who we are. Working with Alyssa is fantastic! More...

I never did anything to get back in shape after I had my child. Cut to nearly 12 years later, and I had felt like doing something for years, but nothing fit well with me. I struggled with gyms, home gyms, self-directed workouts. I couldn't ever follow through and get results. I was so pleased that One Strong Mother Personal Training was able to offer training sessions virtually through a video conferencing service. This let me be able to stay in my home, but work directly with a professional trainer. I could squeeze in a workout no matter what was happening, and it always made me feel better. Alyssa was upbeat and wonderful to work with. She did a great job getting to know me and developing workouts that met me at my skill level but also continually challenged me. Alyssa is attentive and thoughtful and will would increase/decrease the exercises relative to my capabilities. Working with Alyssa virtually helped me find the motivation to follow through and stay committed to working out, and I feel so much better and love the results. Then I would take the workouts from our sessions and do them on other days we didn't meet, so I was able to really maximize the time we spent together. Alyssa is one of the best personal trainers I've worked with. I've had quite a few, and none come close to the personalization and accountability she has. She goes above and beyond to make sure her client is safe and happy. No workout is the same, and what I love is that Alyssa creates workouts specific to your needs. Sidenote - if you're postpartum and ready to workout again, Alyssa is your woman. I keep learning so much. Her rates are incredible especially considering the fact she'll come to your own home and is not phased by the crazy mess, screaming baby, or overly affectionate dogs. Alyssa is beyond amazing!
She has such a passion for her work and truly listens to your needs. She corrects your form and redirects movement to aid in your personal/body needs. As someone who’s under gone back surgery, had a child and struggles with poster due to my work, I can honestly say that Alyssa has been a god send to my body.
