We provide a wide range of services based on your needs. We offer operational accounting set-up and training while providing you the management tools you need to make informed decisions. We firmly believe you cannot manage what you cannot see.
We offer live bookkeeping services that can be provided weekly, monthly or quarterly. A small business may just need a monthly set of financials to review while focusing on business growth. Monthly financials give you the tools to see where your profit is using a margin driven set of tools.
On-Line Accounting was founded years ago to not only provide bookkeeping services but to train owners and personnel on proper operational accounting.
There are many levels in accounting; data entry for A/P and A/R, Invoice and customer data base, Payroll and HR, and Financial Statements and Cash Flow reports. And of course there is Tax Accounting. What you may need for operations is not what the CPA needs for a tax return. On-Line Accounting fills in all the pieces that will give you all you will need.

It's no secret that good bookkeeping is key for maintaining a successful business. It helps you make better informed decisions and long-term business plans.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with a small business or sole proprietor from ground up. Seeing their success after years of growing with them. I have met some amazing people and worked with so many various types of business that I can actually say that after 22 years its never boring and I still love to come to work. Accounting principals are always the same but working with new concepts and new business start ups or coming into an existing company that suddenly thru growth finds it needs more accounting procedures.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In 1991 I was working in a small family construction company. I had experience in A/P and A/R and I could reconcile a bank account. What I needed was someone to teach me how to setup and roll thru specialty software with our accounting and explain progress billing and AIA forms. After several calls to CPA companies and talking to several very smart professional individuals, I realized 3 things;
1. Our small business could not afford their hourly rates.
2. The companies wanted to do the work for us and not necessarily give me the tools I need to run operations daily.
3. There was a serious need for an "off-site" controller type business to help the small to medium business that could not afford this position.
In 1996 I I incorporated On-Line Accounting, Inc. You have to remember the times to realize my name meant something entirely different then. A lot of companies were still using green bar paper and had books setup in a manual fashion. My company would go in and set them up on software or spreadsheets and teach them how to work up financials. I would teach them and eventually they would not need my services. My success came when I worked myself out of a job. I do however, have several companies from the beginning that I see quarterly, I think more out of habit then they need me.
