Good food, excellent service. We rushed in to get something to eat before a tour and they were very accommodating. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Wish we could of stayed longer.

If you love Mediterranean food, you will love Olive Cafe. We had a sampler plate that was amazing. It was Tabouli, Baba, and Hummus served with pita bread. . All of it was really fresh and so, so good. My husband had a beef shawarma wrap. He said all of it brought back childhood memories, since he grew up on this food. Drove up to Portland from Boston for the day and wanted to grab some lunch. There are so many amazing options in the area and the Olive Cafe definitely deserves to be in that category. It is a small place but not cramped. We were there on an off time so seating was plentiful. But it’s a restaurant so it’s about the food. The food was simply awesome. Very fresh. The olive plate was tasty and the shawarmas were awesome. Prices were reasonable too. The waitress was awesome as well - she was very personable and gave us some great tips where to visit during our short stay. We took her suggestions and had a great day! This restaurant is a hidden gem. I've never had a meal there that I didn't love. It's one of the few places where I can order anything from the menu and just trust that the chef will make me enjoy it. Try the Okra Pizza (thanks Kim)!

I don't know why everyone isn't raving about this place. The food is tremendous and very exciting -- the wrap with brussels sprouts is out of this world. Came here for lunch, and though they felt a little understaffed, the food and service was still phenomenal. My grandmother grew up in Greece and moved to the states when she was 18, so she makes a lot of authentic Mediterranean food for us. This makes me very picky about that style of food, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Great small restaurant. Interesting menu selections. I've tried a few things and haven't been disappointed. I'm particularly fond of the Mediterranean platter. I'm not usually a cauliflower fan, but that seasoned cauliflower might have changed my mind. The only downside is that the prices are a bit high. I don't think they're over priced because the ingredients all seem super fresh, so you're paying for that. But, as someone who doesn't have a ton of disposable income, that's the thing that keeps me from coming more frequently. If you find a Groupon, definitely get it. It's totally worth it! More...
