This is a great local bakery where everything is delicious! The owner Doug gives back to the community and is a great supporter of several youth organizations in Rowley and surrounding towns. If your looking for a favorite pie, cake or cookies call ahead because he is very accommodating...but sells out quick! You must try the marshmallows and breads! More...

Bought Old Town Bread Co. Anadama bread from Colby Farm in Newbury, MA while taking pictures of the sunflowers there. Best Anadama Ive had in a long time. Perfect size loaf and slices. Moist, delicious especially for toast! After reading other posts maybethe guy should hire someone to sell his baked goods and hecan just concentrate on baking! More...

I've been going here several times over the last several years.  We live about 1/2 hour away, so we stop if we are passing through and he is open. We like (almost) all of the breads that we have had - Oatmeal Walnut, Anadama, Cinnamon. We don't like his white bread, it was dry and flavorless.  We like the smallish size of the loaves (and priced accordingly) since there is just the two of us, and we are always throwing out stale bread. He does have great muffins when he has them.  His turnovers are excellent, and his biscottis are also excellent - not too crunchy( you don't need to dip them to avoid needing dental work )like some biscottis we have had. He is a character, he runs the whole place by himself, so that is probably why he's a bit harried. His prices are reasonable. More...

I stopped there yesterday . They have an impressive selection. I picked up a loaf of cheddar cheese bread and it is almost gone. Also, I got oatmeal walnut bread which I am sure will be equally good. They also have muffins and other baked goods. It is right next to the post office and I would highly recommend Old Town Bread. This morning, for the very first time, I tried this place.  Last week, I had picked up a loaf of their bread at Marini's Farm Stand.  It was delicious, so I thought I would stop by the source.  I got 2 scones.  I had the blueberry today & it was wonderful.  I want to add the the baker was in the back when I entered clearly making bread.  He asked if I could wait a moment.  He was helpful & very pleasant... He did not have whole wheat today, so I will go back to get some.  By the way, the price of the scone was $1.25, now that is amazing for a hand made scone in this area.... More...

Was cycling on my road bike from W. Newbury on a 44 mile ride, and I happily came upon Old Town Bread Co.  I decided to check them out, and am glad I did. I love scones, when they are done right, and I'm happy to report, their scones are done right.  They had a choice of blueberry, or orange/coconut. I chose the orange/coconut, and am glad I did. It was terrific.  I took a few bites, wrapped it up carefully and tucked it into my pocket to enjoy at the end of my ride.  I highly recommend their scones; so reasonably priced. Perhaps I'll be able to try their other products in the future. More...

This is a small little bread bakery located in Rowely next to the post office. It has an old town feel to it , But the breads are excellent and priced reasonably. Most of the times in the morning the bread is just out of the oven. They also make some pastry and cookies. The hours can be tough as they close early. If you go when they are open you be happy with a fresh hot loaf of bread! More...
