I found Old Lights On in the online Yellow Pages. The one review was stellar and I had struck out at big box store. I needed guidance and special parts to restore the original chandelier that came with my house. Stanley made his schedule so flexible for me; he gave expertise on how to search for parts and was terribly patient with (and probably a little entertained by) my novice "tinkering" and new to restoration enthusiasm. His pricing was exceedingly reasonable, his trade tips were spot on and his personal lighting collection was super impressive and pretty. I highly recommend! More...

Stanley Peck and Old Lights On offer the most beautiful and in some cases rare antique chandeliers, sconces, floor lights etc. , that I think I've ever seen in one place. This place is a little known gem tucked away at the end of a quiet tree-lined street in Farmington. They have the most amazing collection of vintage lighting in Connecticut, covering every period from oil and kerosene to gas fixtures and early electric. There is also a great collection of crystal and brass chandeliers and wall sconces. They offer a full range of repair and restoration services, everything from a lamp re-wire to polishing and plating. And if you need a certain part to fix a light or are looking for a glass globe to match one that broke, this is the place to go. The service is amazing and the prices are reasonable. More...
