Christmas party we hired this great dj company, they done everything we ask of them this was the best experience I have ever had with a dj service. a friend told me to check them out. man do they ever make sure they pay attention to detail from their planning our wedding with us, to the lighting and sound quality - I now see the difference in digital sound, it was more like going to a concert than a dj playing their music. I was reading through the reviews and I am really unsure who these people are that says the staff at okie is awful or hard to get along with, they just done my wedding on 1/16 and I could not have ask for a more caring and friendly set of people. They don't only say they care, they show it 200%, all of our guest were pleased with everything they played and done at both our ceremony and reception. They made sure everything they done was spot on to what we ask for.

Hell they even helped us clean the venue so we could get out on time. Thank you Okie Entertainment for a wonderful experience.

And YES, we hired them from another website, and seen their link on their facebook page to this site, figured I would take a look see and was shocked at the garbage some people wrote. I was referred by friends who used them a couple times, Ron and his crew did not disappoint us at all. More...

Very easy to work with. My only daughter got married and we were already beaten up by the venue, the photographer, the wedding planner the caterer we knew the DJ was going to break the bank.

Well, I'm happy to say not only was I dead wrong but Ron asked me if I had every been in any branch of the US Military and when I told him I was infact in the Marines from 1984 - 2002, we was very excited to say "Thank You my dear friend for your service, and would like to give you a $250.00 additional discount off of your daughter's wedding".

So my whole DJ bill was only $825.00 (that was with a $300.00 tip). They provided the exact music my daughter and son-in-law wanted, the lighting and fog was perfect, the photo booth was devine, elegant and a total blast.

Ron spent a lot of time on the phone with us, at first I thought it to be strange, then he spent a lot of time on the phone with my daughter. In the end of things I now see why he spends so much time getting to know his customers - because he really cares about doing things the right way.

My little darlin is married now and I was able to enjoy a glowing smile every moment during the reception with EVERYTHING being so perfect because of the time Ron spent getting to know our family.

Ron called me today and asked that I do a review, I told him I would be happy to. Ron done several corporate events for the company I work for before they left the GA area. The DJs that our company uses now have not been as good as Ron's company, also they don't put as much into the parties as Ron and his family does. Thank you for doing a bang up professional job during both my wedding ceremony & reception. The music was spot on to what we wanted. The pricing was more than fair, as a matter of fact I found it hard to believe just how low you all charged for everything you done for our wedding. This was my first experience with hiring a live DJ. It will not be my last, they brought so much life to the party.

I have nothing to compare with but their pricing was low compared to others we talked to, everything was spot on to what we asked for and really much better than I expected.

It is extremely obvious that someone, the same someone, has written most these reviews. Notice key phases that keep being used "Ron and his crew" and "they done" just to name a couple. Not to mention there are multiple entries by the same person with the same review.

Very good company, pricing is great, no complaints.

Okie Entertainment provided the worst and most stressful experience I have had to endure so far while trying to plan for our wedding.  Dr. Ronald Fetters, the owner, is extremely pushy and would not listen to what we wanted for our ceremony. He kept talking over me and my fiancé for hours at a time. He would call late at night and ramble on and on and nothing would get done.

Unfortunately we had given him a deposit but we wanted out of the situation with him. We did not want someone like him at our wedding and what information we found on Google was very unsettling.

Once we asked for a refund he immediately got defensive and actually emailed us a Cease and Desist, like we were in the wrong for wanting a refund. That is a great tactic if you don’t want to give your customers a refund!

Also, the reviews on Bark and Thumbtack are missleading. Our negative reviews have been removed which would lead you to believe all the other negative reviews were removed as well as no company or product is perfect and always have a 100% rating.

Please use caution if you decide to talk to Okie Entertainment and do not make the same mistake we did. More...

Great company, Ron was a little windy at the first, but we are glad he was, it is his way of getting to know us, he really seems to care about his customers and his doing a good job on the day we were hiring him for.

They were less expensive than anyone else we contacted, and they seemed to have provided many more services than we were able to get from other DJ services.

Sound was great, photos from photo booth was fantastic and the lighting was perfect to set the kids in a party mode.

Ron and his crew done exactly what they promised they were going to do on the day of the party.

Sorry that it took a while for us to give you a review. I must admit I don’t normally do reviews, but I am inclined to provide this for your company.

To whoever is reading this: Okie Entertainment is multiple steps above its competition under the following areas: Pricing, Professionalism, Passion, Sound, Honesty, and Quality!

We review 12 other DJs for our wedding, the price you provided us was $824.00 less than anyone else, additionally you offered so much more with your cotton candy and popcorn machine and photo booth.

Honestly we looked into photo booths and none of the other DJs offered this service, they said they would have to outsource for the photo booth and the pricing for just for the photo booth was more than the price you charged us for everything.

Here is where the honesty plays in; One of our male guest went to the bathroom. A short time after your 16-year-old daughter (your photo booth attendant) went into bathroom she found a wallet and brought it to you, you stopped the music and called the owner of the wallet to the DJ table.

When our guest received his wallet back, he came and found my wife and I telling us you told him of your daughter’s find, when he opened the wallet in front of my wife and I we were totally amazed he counted $2,000.00 in $100s and said that is exactly what he drew out of the bank earlier that day. There were also several credit cards in his wallet.

He told us he offered your daughter a finder’s fee of $100.00 and she turned him down quoting her father, “when we find something that does not belong to us, it is the same as stealing to remove anything from it or accept anything for returning it to its rightful owner.”.

I don't need to say how easy it would have been for your daughter to just take the cash from the wallet and bury the wallet in the trash can amongst all the paper towels, with no one being the wiser, our guest said he would have thought he left it in his car before coming inside the venue.

So may I say from my wife and I how proud we are to have hired you. We both love to entertain our guest and we have you on our speed dial, so this is by far the end of our business with one another. I also throw a couple parties a year for my business (customers and employees) and never thought of having a DJ, but you have opened my eyes to the possibilities of how much better you would make the party.

This company done a great job at my son's 18th birthday party and graduation party. The price was less than other companies gave me and we got a lot (I mean a lot) more bang for the money we spent. Music was smooth, exactly what my son and guest wanted to hear. Their was always a DJ right there with the equipment to make sure nothing went wrong during the party. I called Ron at their Kansas City office 816-652-9288, with only 3 days before my wedding. He told me he could give me everything we needed. I expected to pay more than $1,500.00. When he gave me a price of $950.00 (including the enclosed Photo Booth) I was both pleased and scared to death, but the DJ I had hired called me and said he could not do my wedding.

Well then we had our wedding and Ron rocked it totally, the lighting, music and everything they done was just perfect. I would definitely recommend this company for any kind of event you need an outstanding and professional DJ service for. The photo booth was a FANTASTIC addition to my birthday celebration. All my guests had a great time taking photos and acting “silly”. The personalized memory book was also such a great touch besides my guests being able to personally place a copy of their strip in the book and write messages was mind blowing. It was almost nostalgia of high school getting all your friends to sign your yearbook, but not having to chase them all over school for weeks. The other great thing was the DVD of all the proofs and not having to be nickel and dimed about them being watermarked. You gave us complete access to make however many copies we wanted. My wedding was more than I could ever have dreamed of it. This DJ company charge me like half of other companies my parents spoke to. The photo booth was a huge hit with all of our guest. The music was exactly what we asked them to play. They hooked microphones up so everyone in the back of the room could hear as Todd and I exchanged out vows. the amount of fog they used for our dance and the volume was great. I never want to get married again but I have three dear friends that are already talking to these guys about being their for their weddings. I did not think cotton candy would have been a hit but I thought it would be neat and wow, I think everyone indulged not once but at least twice after dinner, they were dancing with cotton candy in their hands and I have never had cotton candy this good at any fair or carnival.
