I went to Oh My Dog because one of my huskies won a costume contest at Bay Meadows.  My husband is very very picky of who takes care of our dogs.  We have had bad experiences from places in the city despite their good reviews.  I reassured him that the pictures and the reviews seemed legit.  I have to say, Carlos and his team has exceeded my expectations. If you visit their salon, it is very clean and organized despite the dog hair and fur being trimmed and cleaned.  I've been taking Sky there a few times and have just took Storm.  Storm is a new rescue we have so usually we let the trainers take care of the cleaning for us.  This time, they were able to accommodate both despite me forgetting to schedule for Storm, and they said he did a great time!  Thanks for taking care of my Sky and Storm! I brought my two little weird girls in after reading tons of 5-star Yelp and Google reviews and well, there's a reason they're all 5-star! The owner greeted us at the door and was thorough in gathering information about my dogs (their quirks, what to look out for, any things of note). They said it would take 3-5 hours and they finished sooner than that! I came to pick them up and my dogs were comfortably lounging in a dog bed and looked very calm, something I've never seen before from them! They were relaxed and didn't look nervous at all. Their haircuts are SO CUTE! Korey (unsure of spelling) was so kind and talked to me during pick up. She did an excellent job, and the pups were really feeling their new do's. I'm often wary of grooming salons and see so many reviews about groomers who are careless and dogs that get hurt. I definitely didn't have that experience here! I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff at the salon and how cute and clean it was! The kennels are nice and big and have comfy beds in them for the dogs to rest. No cramped cages! While it was slightly higher priced than I'd hoped, I'm pleased with the result and will definitely pay more to make sure my dogs are comfortable! Highly recommend for dog families in the Peninsula!! Oh My Dog! is fantastic. I have high expectations for my dog Porter and his level of care when I'm not around. I bring him to OMD for day-play sessions and he sprints up the stairs! When he stays for hotel visits he's well taken care of - his medicine is administered, he has a nice little 'hotel' of his own and I even get daily 'report cards' with pictures of him playing and summaries of what he's been up to! OMG..lol..this place is the BEST!! Carlos and his stuff are friendly and professional and treat your fur baby gentle and with the utmost respect ! I would definitely recommend Oh My Dog be your next grooming experience!! A couple of years ago,  I was out walking my Shihtzu. A lady walked by me and I noticed how great her Shihtzu looked! I asked her."where do you get him groomed?" She said, "Oh My Dog in Foster City"  She raved how great they were and how good they treated her dog!  She also said that Carlos was the one to ask for! That was enough for me.  I headed off to Foster City to find Oh My Dog! I made the first grooming apt for my Shihtzu and the rest is history!! I have not been disappointed since then!! They have done a great job every time!!I have tried three different grooming places and Oh My Dog is by far the best !! My dog feels relaxed and isn't all stressed out and shaking when I pick him up! Not to mention he looks fabulous!! LOL..Oh and I just recommended Oh My Dog to another lady whom I chatted with while shopping at Michaels. We love oh my dog! The only place that can properly cut our shih tzu's hair. The really listen to your opinion and what kind of hair cut you want for your dog and they deliver every time. Our little guy looks cute as a button every time we pick him up and he always looks pretty happy (for a shy/nervous pup) when we pick him up. They have a pretty long waiting list if you don't schedule ahead and it can be difficult to get on the schedule, but the staff always try to worm with you. I took my dog in for his second grooming with Carlos on Tuesday, and I believe there was a misunderstanding about the length of my dog's coat that I wanted. I brought him back the next day to speak with Carlos, he said no problem and shortened Bandi's coat exactly as I had initially wanted. Thank you to Oh My Dog for loving and caring for my dear best friend, little Lei. She unexpectedly passed away yesterday, and I know that she meant alot to Carlos and his team here at Oh My Dog. They have cared for her since this spot opened up and even before this, Lei has known Carlos for many years and been lucky to have spent time with him while we were away on vacation during the holidays. Carlos goes above and beyond to love and care for my dogs as much as his dogs. And Lei was always happy to see him for a bath and shower. She is so spoiled she is allowed to roam the grooming salon the whole day even though she doesn't need a haircut or trim. Who takes a rottweiler to a groomer weekly? We do! Dogs don't deserve us because they love with no judgments. I will miss bringing Lei in for her weekly appointments just to see her light up when she enters Oh My Dog. So, it has been really hot this week, in the mid eighties.  My shin tzu, who had health problems was scheduled for a bath and cut.  I was going to ask for an air dry because I think the heat and stress of the dryer would be too much for him.  But, problem solved, Carlos called to cancel because of a problem with their air conditioning. I have a pure bred Chow and had really been having a hard time finding someone that new what they were doing! The last groomer muzzled her and totally did the opposite of my request! That was it for me. I got a recommendation from Pet Food Express in Belmont for OMD for Carlos.  My husband and I stopped by with Soshi and spoke to Carlos and his wife, we were impressed. Soshi had her first appointment with Carlos and he was honest about how long it would take and the cost because she was so over due.  About 6 hours laterto our surprise Soshi was ready and totally gorgeous!! 2nd appointment I 6 weeks after she was ready in 3 hours, big difference! Oh My Dog this place is amazing. First off, booking from their site is easy and quick, for someone like me who doesn't like to make phone calls, this is a huge plus. I brought my pug here for a nail trim, he absolutely hates nail trimming even our vet couldn't get that done and told us he needed to be drugged next time he gets a nail trim. And of course there's no way I'd do that to him ( and stopped going to that vet). Then I gave this place a try and they did it. They trimmed my pugs nails!! Well prior to that I tired him out but The setting of this place let the dogs able to see the owner, that helps a lot with him, and they were patient and attentive, price was reasonable as well. This is STILL the best choice for DOG GROOMING around the peninsula. They take their time to ensure that the grooming is done right! My dogs always come back clean, fresh, happy, and smelling good. The workers are incredibly kind and patient especially when it comes to difficult dogs. My terrier likes to nip alot, and he doesn't like strangers. But since last year, Carlos and his workers won my dog over, and they all can pet and pick him up. He does not do this with anyone, not even family members at home. I always feel safe leaving my dogs here knowing that they are well cared for, they'll get a nice haircut and shower. If you want the best people to care and groom your dog, COME HERE! I have had my dog for 13 years and always found it difficult to find a grooming salon that I could trust to make my dog look better than when I brought him in.  No longer!  Carlos and his team of "dog care wizards" have made him look GOOD.   When I pick him up, he is trimmed, washed and happy.  The people at "OHMYDOG" are so kind and calm that when he sees where he's going, he is excited to be there.  They play with him and he is calm and impeccable when he leaves.  Carlos is an artist and makes my dog "Sammy" look like I always hoped he would.  If you want your dog to be happy and look perfect......go here....nowhere else.  Yes, they are busy, but wouldn't you want to eat in a resteraunt with a line, that is hard to get in to.  I would and do!!! This place is amazing and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants nothing but the very best for their fur baby! Prior to today's visit, I had come by for a quick nail trim for my pup, Oso. They were so gentle with him, which I loved because he's a squirmy little pup, and had us in & out of there super fast.When we came in today, Ben (I believe) remembered us from last time, which I thought was so sweet considering we had been there for literally 10 minutes on our first visit. Veronica handled Oso's haircut today and I LOVED how it turned out! I was mainly concerned about his eye area, he gets really bad eye boogies which cause big ol' tear stains, and he hates being touched around his eyes, but they were able to groom him very nicely and get all that hair out of the way! I took my mini labradoodle here and they did a great job. My sister picked her up and said Tilley was roaming around playing which I loved! I've never taken a dog to the groomer in her real, but seeing her come back happy made my heart melt, these people do care. I'm not sure who cute Tilleys hair, but she looked so cute! I brought my dog here for a much needed grooming. It was her first grooming experience since spending some time in a shelter so she was not a huge fan of me handing her off to someone else with a lot of dogs around. The staff did a fantastic job handling her and she was calm after a few minutes. It took less than 30 minutes and she had her nails clipped, ears cleaned, and anal glands extracted. Took our 10 month old doodle for his first haircut today and the folks there did a great job. Love that they can let the pups walk about in the area- our pup has some attachment issues and not a big fan of being corralled/crated so glad that friendly pups can have that option.

Super easy to schedule with, made a phone call to make the appointment.  Got text alerts to remind us of our little guys haircut.  The staff were friendly and welcoming.  My dog left the salon looking great and smelling like heaven!  Also of note our little guy is a 20 lb Wire Haired Fox Terrier and they have him a great haircut, they knew how to groom the breed which is wonderful! I've taken my 20-lb poodle mix here for grooming for over a year and always happy.  Today we had a new groomer, Jenny, so I wasn't sure how it would turn out.  She asked what length I wanted, and he was matted in some places. Jenny did a wonderful job on my fidgety boy!  She shaped the hair around his face perfectly and I can see his eyes now.  He is soft and smells good. I was very impressed with her skill. Just rescued a puppy a few weeks ago from a shelter and have been searching for a groomer. Saw that Oh My Dog was literally down the street and with all the good reviews felt like I had to give it a try. Veronica was my groomer and was so good with our pup! Chi Chi can get a little snappy with new people and especially when you touch her paws but Veronica handled it great! Will be recommending to all my friends who are pup owners. Simply the best!Been taking my little pup Mochi here since it first opened and boy, business has taken off. You can't get a trim/groom with a day or a week notice anymore, so make sure you book your next appointment in advance! They take such care of my boy, and Mochi looks like a super handsome prince when he leaves. Smells perfect and hair is softer than I can ever get him with home baths.
