Excellent experience from the time I searched Odd Jobs out on the internet. I requested a quote online. They got back asking for some pictures and some measturements . The quote came in. They called me and gave me advice. I originally wanted a microwave but the distance from range top wouldn't allow. The service was booked and they followed up day before. I needed help with flipping mattresses, rugs, removing outdoor tables|chairs|planters from storage. I provided the highest ranking for three reasons. One, the process is very disciplined and forces you to be organized. You are completely in the loop with respect to confirmations and arrival times. Two, Shawn and Pierre reviewed my list and got to work. They are fast and they are good. Their service is great! I love that you can send photos through and receive a quote pretty quickly. I had a simple job of fixing some dry wall throughout my house so it was a bit difficult to estimate. The handyman Pierre, was polite, knowledgeable, and good at what he does. After reaching out to several handyman/odd job businesses and getting no response at all, Odd Job responded within less than 24 hours with a quote and we were able to arrange an appointment that week. We had our shower door repaired including leveling the door, replacing the shower door sweep, and replacing some quarter round that had been damaged by water. The technician came right at the estimated time and was very friendly and professional. There were a couple of things with the job that they hadn't anticipated but he trouble shooted to ensure the job got done. The workmanship is great and he cleaned everything up nicely afterwards. They installed two vanities in the washroom, re-caulked a standing shower, put up electrical light fixtures and fixed closets in my two bedroom condo within two days. My older house had some of the first insulated steel doors and the weatherstripping was toast. I wanted someone to get the right stuff and stop the cold air leaking around three exterior doors. I also had a busted sliding closet door that needed to be replaced. The technician came with all of the material and closet door system he needed. He was friendly and prepared -- he had a bigger range of fasteners than some hardware stores. When I later noticed a problem with my deadbolt no longer working on the weatherstripped front door, he came on a Saturday to fix it. We called Odd Jobs to fix minor issues in our condo that were giving us headaches for awhile. We needed to get the hinges on two doors fixed so the doors would properly open and close. We got the caulking redone in our bathtub and bathroom vanity and replaced our bath spout. We also had a large hole patched up and some areas that needed to be sanded down and ready for paint. The last thing we had the contractor do was put up a dart board and remove a plastic piece off our wall that was screwed on too tight. My husband and I were very happy with the whole process from beginning to end. Justin came to our condo to do our estimate and was very nice and professional. Communication onwards was always clear and concise. We had Shawn, a senior contractor who was punctual, friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. Shawn was professional, efficient and we are satisfied with the finished results. Now we can breathe a sigh of relief when we look around. Odd Job have been our go-to contractor for quick fixes to our basement rental. Our tenant's bathroom door needed to be replaced with a custom-sized door. I contacted Odd Jobs based on a recommendation through a friend. It was a sunken sink issue. I was provided with a detailed quote just based on giving a description and pictures, and the actual invoice came in LOWER than the initial quote, which shows that this company his honest! !! The customer service from start to finish was wonderful, and they were especially great liaising with my tenant while I live overseas.
