What do you love most about your job?
Is it morning yet? I can’t wait to get up every morning to draw or paint or work on a project!! Do I have a lesson from a master artist today or am I guiding someone on their artistic journey? I love my studio art space and I will only take a break to play Table Tennis, and the essentials of course. And ok, My most favorite it to see that expression on someone’s face of amazement or even a tear as they look at the creation of collaboration between my client and myself. That is my joy!
What inspired you to start your own business?
So, I wrote a book and it grew legs! It started to develop into a series of talks, greeting cards and a fine jewelry line. Eventually I started to add my other artistic services, drawing portraits, making jewelry and doing tent shows. I started to intern with various other artists and entrepreneurs and then I retired from teaching. I would have jumped full force into my business venture, but I fell in love, for a second time! My first husband passed away, and when I least expected it, I met my new husband! I opened a little shop, but I outgrew it so fast and I wasn’t fond of being away from my new husband. So now I operate from my two homes; Brecksville, Ohio and Palm Harbor, Florida! I’m having a blast!! I try to have at least one show a year as well as entering juried shows. I do my own thing, take commissions and teach - I prefer to call it guiding other artists on their respective creative journeys!!
