This place has everything you need! The staff are so helpful and kind. My favorites are Jamison, Raymond and Alissa! Classes rock and they even have events and a bar! Best GYM ever!

My Ochsner Dr gave me a Medfit referral which included 2 training sessions with Robert Dean...... Wow I swear it was only a few minutes and I felt it more than I would had I walked 5 miles. Great! Friendly check in desk. Also, Gabby made signing up easy and answered all our questions. Carlos is a wonderful personal trainer and is patient. Amy Arceneaux took me on a tour of the Center. She was very friendly and informative. Later when it came time to do paperwork, instead of sitting in the office, we sat in the cafe area and had a cup of coffee while she filled me in on the details of my membership. From the beginning of my journey to lose weight and get healthy, Carlos has been a very integral part of my struggle! He encourages me beyond any of my expectations of a trainer. Even when I am away from the gym due to illness, he keeps up with my health and my progress quth staying on track! I actually left Elmwood for a short period of time to "save money!" Long story short, I was too spoiled to stay away. His knowledge and assistance is beyond measure! The folks at the other (cheaper) facility didn't seem to care about me or my journey! I came running back to Elmwood and Carlos!! I'd give Carlos TEN STARS if there was such a rating!! He's the absolute BEST!!! More...

I took a tour of the facility with Robert Dean and was very impressed with his expertise. He was very polite and non-judgmental. He knew exactly the right exercises to help with my handicap and all of his focus was on me, which is very hard to find nowadays. This guy deserves a promotion if you ask me. I wanna say how happy I am with the gym and Ochsner overall. I have had lots of health issues and the use of the pool has been amazing. I was waiting in the lobby for an appointment with membership to sign up, and Robert sat there and spoke with my husband and I until he had to meet his next appointment. He has gone out of his way to make me comfortable there, even staying late to answer my questions about workouts. This gym is the best. The facility is very well cleaned and maintained, due especially to the hard work and diligence of Mr. Willie and Mr. Clint. The childcare is excellent and I feel safe leaving my children under the supervision of Ms. Crystal. The trainers are supportive and I've learned a lot from Robert, who even went out of his way to find a heavier medicine ball so I could keep progressing on an exercise he taught me. I also adore trainer Deborah, who inspires me with her strength and patience with her clients. And this place is fun, thanks to the event planning of Mr. Raymond.
