My partner was busy with a Confrence so I wandered around town on my own. As a undergrad art major I’ve enjoyed museums. The museum had some beautiful exhibits. One was from Disney artist Brian Kesinger. His art is so whimsical and fun. The other was of art fashion. I want sure I’d like it but it was beautiful and thought provoking. The staff was friendly and helpful. They directed me to other sites I might enjoy. I wish I lived closer to enjoy more of their exhibits. More...

I was a previous board member. This is a godsend to North County Coastal. The only other and often cited as such is the Surf Board Museum which is also very nice. OMA as we call it is a locally sponsored and funded multi faceted art museum with a continually changing group of exhibits on it two floors. These exhibits and related events are great, well curated (subject described and interpreted) and hung in well lit and opened spaces so that it does not feel cramped, dingy or stale. Other social events are often planned and these are wonderful as there is often a speaker and a chance to meet many of the most articulate and art savvy members. Join it, enjoy it. We have been to this museum half a dozen times over the years, with and without kids. The building and exhibits have grown in size and sophistication. The key is to get on line and plan your visit to coincide with an exhibit that matches your interests...the entire place will be devoted to it. Great small town art museum.
