I cannot say enough good things about Occasions Catering! They catered our wedding this past weekend and did an absolutely phenomenal job. All of our guests complemented us on the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. They were so wonderful to work with; accommodating, helpful, and patient every step of the way. Hallie especially put so much time into helping me plan everything. She really went above and beyond answering all my questions and giving me advance on things that were not even in her job description! There are so many things to think about when planning a wedding. It is completely overwhelming to think about all the options out there and deciding which vendors to use. We knew food had to be the top priority. After looking at several venues and being underwhelmed by our options, Connie made the trip over to our house (an hour drive) and not only provided the best food, wine and liquor menu options, but also took the time to walk our family property and gave advice on what our VT August outside wedding could look like (my childhood dream). We chose our home as the venue based off of Connie's vision and support (what other caterer would also help map out your property for several hours?) This team goes above and beyond and was available for every question/concern we had throughout the entire planning process. After committing to the date based off of Occasions availability, the planning begins and I knew I wanted the farmhouse and round tables covered in an elegant linen. As there are millions of options out there and I once again was overwhelmed, Hallie immediately narrowed in on my vision and provided samples (along with comparisons) and made the linen choice effortless. By hiring Occasions Catering, you are investing in professional, caring, calming and passionate people. I had several unique menu requests (my mothers recipes) and Connie and the chef were happy to accommodate and recreated the recipes exactly as I had envisioned. There are so many things you have to worry about leading up to and on the big day, but Connie and her team navigated my family throughout the whole process and blew everyone away with their spectacular cheese board, chicken and waffles snack (the best thing I've ever eaten) and maple pork tenderloin (just to name a few). My husband and I booked Occasions Catering for our wedding and the food was amazing! We had our wedding at Knoll Farm in Waitsfield, which is not the easiest setting for caterers as there isn't a professional kitchen, but Hallie and her team were very flexible and did a fantastic job. They helped us order all the tables, chairs, linens, and chinaware, which made the planning so much easier for us. Hallie was also great with last minute requests and when a few guests who had RSVPed that they weren't attending showed up, Hallie and her team quickly set up some extra places for them. So many guests came up to me afterwards and told me how fabulous all the food was and how much they appreciated that there was something for everyone (Hallie made sure they were gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options). I, in particular, really loved the summer squash casserole, the vietnamese steak salad, and the chicken piccata. We also went with fruit pies for dessert and did not regret it! From start to finish, Occasions Catering exceeded my expectations. They were incredible responsive, had helpful recommendations throughout the planning process, and executed everything perfectly. We were planning a small brunch for family the day after our wedding. Despite the fact that we live out of state, were hosting at a venue without a kitchen, and were adamant about certain details while being completely indecisive about others, it turned out flawlessly. The only thing more impressive than the execution was the food. It was all delicious, including the leftover baked goods we left with which we enjoyed throughout our honeymoon. Occasions Catering provided the food for our wedding and it was incredible. We heard the most compliments regarding the food. Our guests kept coming up to us days after the wedding sharing how they were still daydreaming about some of our choices. We picked a selection of fun cocktail hour appetizers like fried chicken & waffle bites and grilled cheese wedges in tomato soup shooters. We were able to try variations of our plated entree dishes at our tasting and knew we would be in good hands. Emily worked with us on our menu and helped guide us to the perfect combination. She has many years of experience as a chef and we felt confident there would be enough of a selection for everyone. We even opted for a few desserts and they were some of our personal favorites: mini pecan pie bites and little cannolis. I wish we could go back right now and indulge in all of those dishes again! Connie and her crew were fabulous to work with for our recent wedding. Connie was very communicative and helpful in the planning stage. On our wedding day, she and her staff did a great job with the set-up as everything looked so lovely in our space. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and the food was absolutely delicious. Connie, Hallie, and Paige of Occasions Catering are an exceptionally stellar team and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did leading up to, during, and after our wedding. Occasions catering does much more than prepare an exceptionally delicious meal; they provide guidance on timing, seating, tablescapes, room flow, the ceremony, and more! They held our hands through every step of the planning process, working within our budget, providing accurate estimates, and answering each of our questions promptly and honestly. They are the reason our wedding ran smoothly and as scheduled. In addition to their catering business, Occasions also provides linens, and ours were beautiful. Hallie not only walked me through her entire inventory, but when I realized that it did not include anything with navy and white stripes, Hallie ordered new fabric to create incredible table runners that absolutely made our reception pop. I loved all of our linens and truly appreciated that Hallie was willing and able to add to their inventory. Ok, let’s talk about the food. It. Was. Delicious. Our guests raved about our rehearsal dinner (with several options including pork tenderloin, hanger steak, and butternut squash ravioli), and many told us our reception dinner was the best they’d ever had (with vegetable pot pies, herbed chicken, family style mac and cheese, and a beautiful watermelon and feta salad) – we absolutely agreed! Paige also secured the Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream cart for us, instead of a cake. Amazing! Their mini chicken and waffles are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, the mini pulled pork sliders were tender and juicy, the crab cakes can definitely stand up to what we’ve been eating in Maryland, and the cheese table selection was fantastic. We are so grateful to Occasions Catering and cannot thank them enough for ensuring that our wedding was fun, delectable, and that my husband and I were able to actually eat during our reception. Our wedding at 1824 House was picture perfect. We had so much flexibility in our vision and the staff is super laid back and helpful. Food from Occasions catering was delicious. People are talking about it non stop. We got lucky with perfect weather but I felt good about our rain plan options too. Felt prepared and ready to party going into the weekend. Lots of planning and back and forth over email but when you're planning a wedding remotely it's the easiest way to keep track of it all. Book your wedding here! You won't regret it.
