An office in my building where I work was catered lunch by Oakland Smoke Shack, I had a chance to get some of the leftovers, what little there was and boy was it legit! ! Savory pulled pork with the right amount of smoke and the sauce was perfect! I would definitely order from OSS, I LOOK FORWARD to the next time an office is catered lunch by Oakland Smoke Shack. I've had several occasions to sample Oakland Smoke Shack's BBQ. Without question, this is some of the most perfectly seasoned and smoked meat you can find in these parts. Wish they had a storefront or a truck I could chase around. The ribs were perfect - moist but not soggy, tender but not mushy, just the right amount of bark and bite. Sauces and sides were on point. I'm so glad to have the Smoke Shack around. We've had Matt and his crew cater a few events now, and I can say that you will be so happy to have his food in your belly.
His brisket and chicken are really amazing. The brisket gets that wonderful, flavorful bark, while being fork tender. The chicken wasn't dry, or mushy, but really juicy and super packed with complexity without being "busy". Moreover, in addition to the wonderful meat choices, the sides would impress any self-respecting vegetarian, including a delicious quinoa salad, amongst many of the more traditional offerings.
This may be better than the bbq from your uncle from St. Louis, who sits up all night next to a smoker with a 12-pack of beer to get the BBQ *just* right. But, in all seriousness, this is also a really solid crowd pleaser for almost any occasion. If I had access to this every day, my philosophical battles with my waistline would no longer be battles and just a surrendering of my will.
You will be super happy to have eaten this.

To start I Love BBQ and this stuff is out standing but what got me was my daughter who doesn’t really like meat or anything BBQ’d, who is very picky ate a pulled pork sandwich, finished and asked for seconds. That right there says it all to me and don’t get me started on the sides, to many to name and only one word to explan”YUMMIE”.
