I have been going to OSR since Fall 2018. Regina is my primary physical therapist and Andy is secondary. How on earth can I say enough great things about them! ? Although they may not be experts in my condition (truly, it's hard to even find anyone who's heard of it, never mind being an expert at it) they work closely with me to cater my treatment to what works for my condition on any given day. My symptoms change every day, sometimes hourly. Having an understanding, considerate, and unadulterated physical therapist, is often essential for recovery or even preventing the condition from spreading or deteriorating further (another likely side effect).After most of my appointments, they apply k-tape. I only agree to it when my condition leads to any type of inappropriate pulling of my limb either one way or another; and the k-tape could help either correct it or prevent further damaging pulls. I've learned to be my own advocate but even that requires a facility who is open to that type of patient. Btw... for others who may consider OSR for pain management, I have a neurological condition. Just send a note if you would like to know specifics. Otherwise, I don't typically openly share. But I thought it may help others who may be in the same boat. From the office staff, to the PTs... I hurt my back early last month and I needed to see a chiropractor as soon as possible. A lot of the places I was looking at had appointments booked out for weeks and I needed to relieve the pain fast! I stumbled upon OSR on Yelp and thought I'd message them for an appointment. It was almost instantaneous that as soon as I sent the message, I received a response fast asking if I would be interested in coming in for a complimentary consultation. Scheduled a same-day appointment and spoke with Emily. She went over the different options that are available for my pain relief. She advised me that she would check my insurance then call me back if the services would be covered. Left the office expecting I would get a call the next day; I got a call from Emily that I have chiropractic benefits with my insurance. Scheduled my appointment for the next day.I was advised from the front desk staff to go online and download the paperwork and have them completed prior to coming in for my appointment. Walked in to the facility and let me tell you; it was really nice. Staff greeted me with a smile and waited for the doctor to see me. I was fortunate enough to see Dr. Machado for my initial appointment. Unfortunately he mentioned that he is retired and was only at the office to cover for the other chiropractor who was on vacation. He went over how adjustments work since I've never had my back "cracked". He was very professional as well as personable. He did an amazing job on relieving some of the pressure I was experiencing on my lower back. He recommended that I get my lower back muscles electrically stimulated to ease the tension on my lower back, stretch my lower spine using this traction machine, as well as trigger point massaging. After my 2 appointments with Dr. Machado, I started being seen by Dr. Adey. Super friendly doctor and very knowledgeable about what I'm currently experiencing. She provided great recommendations on how to help improve my back pain.The support staff was great! They were very accommodating, professional, as well a super friendly!As I'm writing this review, I've already had 6 adjustments done as part of my treatment plan and my lower back is practically pain free! Thank you to the entire team of OSR for the great experience! For someone who has never had his back adjusted because of fear, I would highly recommend getting it done; especially with OSR! I literally couldn't get out of bed or use the bathroom because my back was so painfully sore!! I went to check out OSR & was amazed with the level of care I received! 3 months later I "graduated" to the maintenance program! I can even do s Shaun T Beachbody workout! I am very happy that I found them, just wish I found them earlier. I've been treated there for almost 2 weeks now, and I am feeling a difference already. I'll be leaving the island in 2 more weeks, and am excited to see how I feel by then. Dr Machado is an excellent chiropractor. His associate Scott in rehab is very clear on explaining his techniques. My pain dr. Referred me the them and I'm still new, however they really know their stuff. They would always ask me what's wrong and before any stretching or physical activity, they give a little massage to lesson up my tension in my back. I was really messed up after a bike crash. Could hardly move due to muscle pain and spasms. I felt better after the first visit and am now fully recovered (4months). The staff is wonderful. The staff here is amazing and very homey. Every time I come in they always ask how I’m doing and everyone is super friendly. They are always open to listening to my concerns whether it’s my lower back or hip and finding the best stretches and workouts for my injuries. On Monday, July 16, my family and I were into our 6th and final full day of vacation on Oahu. We were getting ready to walk up to Diamond Head when my sacroiliac joint started giving me extreme pain. I would not be able to do any activities that day, much less sit for 8-9 hours on a plane the next day without extreme pain. I got in touch with three chiropractors who would not fit an emergency patient into their schedule. Then I called Oahu Spine and Rehab, and they told me to come right in! Dr. Adey confirmed the diagnosis, adjusted my spine, and got me on my way in less than a half hour. This place did what three other doctors refused to do--help people in need and in pain. Bless you for what you did for me--I was able to do our activities that day, but more importantly, I was able to sit on an extremely long plane ride with relatively little pain. Long story short, If anyone is looking for an awesome place for rehab, physical therapy, or chiropractic etc. I would highly recommend this place 1000%Came here because I was experiencing some lower back pain. I was recommended to see their Physical Therapist Adam Taylor and their Chiropractor Dr. Adey. I cannot stress how wonderful these two individuals are. Adam was extremely helpful, putting me through various exercises and stretches that got me back to surfing in no time. His patience and kindness are values i'll always remember about him. Dr. Adey got me to understand how the spine and nerves work and did and did an excellent job getting me back to normal. The truth is that everyone in this facility goes above and beyond their jobs to make all clients feel welcome and pain free.
