I love Kelsey! She is so knowledgable about her practice and makes honest recommendations that are tailored to your needs. She understands and empathizes with the frustrations you have around food and validates your thoughts and emotions. Kelsey is a refreshing addition to the nutrition/mental health world due to her ability to show kindness and speak truth. Kelsey would never ask you do more than you can and is along side you throughout your journey to healing. She has a wonderful perspective on life and feels like a friend when you meet her once! Kelsey encourages self-care and self-kindness in her practice and values your time. She has helped so many find healing and restoration with food. Kelsey helped me find a positive relationship with food and myself. Thank you for your expertise and guidance and for helping me understand what it looks like to be an intuitive eater, Kelsey! I read the amazing book Intuitive Eating and thought it would help me work through my eating disorder, but I wanted a professional to guide me through the process. I love Lindsay. I haven't seen her since our last session in August of 2014, but I consider myself mostly healed. My eating disorder was 25 years in the making. She helped me understand where my food issues came from, helped me challenged my own twisted perceptions of food, and helped me completely change the way I eat. There are no ridiculous meal plans or plates given, because the fact is diets and eating plans don't work, especially when it comes to healing an eating disorder. Diets and food plans quickly become a very rigid set of rules to live by in the eating disordered mind. I needed some sort of structure, but not food-specific structure. Lindsay introduced me to Recovery Record which offered the minimal structure I needed, and she was able to review and discuss my logs every week. I even brought my boyfriend in so he could ask any questions about the things he didn't understand. If you are looking for a caring and compassionate dietician who will help you find a healthier relationship with food, please, save yourself the trouble of trial and error, and go to Lindsay at Nutrition Instincts! I'm so proud of the progress I have made. I'm no longer rigid with my food, I eat the things I enjoy, and for the first time in my life, I'm playing with my food, trying new recipes, and ignoring the calorie counts that ruled my life for so long. My relationship with food right now is the healthiest it's been in my whole life! More...
