I'm a tier 1 member so I can be flexible depending on where I am but I still prefer to regularly train here.

It's got a better gym and sauna and steam layout than most of the clubs I've been to in the south east. The staff and also majority of regular users are super friendly which makes a huge difference. More...

I have just finished doing adult swimming lessons with Emmeline and would to say she is a fantastic teacher. As i was a previous non swimmer she was really patient and taught me to swim various strokes in a short space of time, and most importantly she built my confidence up in water. My son has recently started swimming lessons with Emmeline, already his confidence and skills are improving! More importantly he can not wait for his next lesson each week and Emmeline has a fantastic way of keeping his attention. Helping him to understand how to swim,as well as keeping the session fun and exciting. I have previously tried this myself thinking he would just "get it" however I found very little improvement. Managed 8 weeks of a personal Trainer (Dan) and really feeling the difference. 10lb lighter and loads more energy. Dan has divised a workout program to follow in between our weekly sessions and I am really enjoying it. Each session has been varied and I have learnt how to use the equipment to suit me and my needs. Lots of different equipment and an MOT on induction to mark your progress. As an older, larger lady, I was very aprehensive about joining, but I have overcome that now as this is my journey, and I feel comfortable and accepted in this gym. More...

Well, I've just completed 3 months of Personal Training with Zoe Charlton. I want to say at the outset that all of the Gym staff are amazing I'm just concentrating these comments on how supportive Zoe has been, because of having her for PT. She's clearly so knowledgable and able to adapt exercises to various injuries, knowing just when to push you and when to go easier - but still doing something, other than what I sometimes wanted to do - putting my feet up! Thanks so much Zoe - you're a star! And thanks to all at Nuffield. You make all classes great. As I was down here visiting my friend who also goes to this gym and who is a member of it very clean lovely staff very polite changing rooms well looked after and showers brilliant to use no getting burnt from the hot water. The pool was looking very inviting as well and the spa pool was lovely but the tiles on the spa pool need a good clean. I work in a gym myself I work for Bannatyne I'm a domestic cleaner if my boss saw the sate of the tiles in our spa pool looking as black as yours we would get told to sort them out otherwise members will complain More...

Not had a membership before. Had a walk round, liked the look of it and the non-intimidating feel. Signed up, been for a few swims and today used the bike. Wasn't sure how to set it up, found a member of staff 'Alex' who was helpful, concise and made me feel more at ease. The overall impression I get from looking at the reviews and using the facilities is there's a lot that people have to say when it comes to social media. Maybe the Gym could possibly get a bulletin board for the people that only find it possible to use said media for comments etc......

Plenty of free weights and 2 squat racks, an extra bench would be a bonus. Good selection of bumper plates and dumbbells. Staff all seem friendly, and everything seems well maintained . Lots of resistance machines if that's your thing, a little out of date but plenty of variety. Always able to get on to anything I need, so overall always a good session (oh and free parking! Can't praise Nuffield staff enough for all their help and support. I find they have an abundance of classes at lots of different times making fitness accessible around any work schedule, the gym is clean and well kept and I never struggle to find equipment I need. Help is always available if I'm struggling with how to use equipment or the correct technique. With the use of the pool, steam, sauna and hydro pool I think it's great value for money. I’ve had memberships in different gyms around Taunton over the past 10 years but this is the place I always come back to! The staff here are spot on-dedicated, helpful, friendly and wear a smile . In particular I love the escapism this place offers-especially as proper downtime is vital these days. Also love the fact the kids can swim at the weekends in a really nice pool, and the icing on the cake is a swimming instructor called Donna. I don’t know about other instructors there-but she is excellent with the kids and has helped my child to build a huge amount of confidence in the water!
