We had Caleb replace a toilet in our basement that was leaking and we wanted to make sure it was done right. Â Everything went smoothly, but unfortunately a few days later we noticed leaking again (which we later learned was due mainly to a difficult plumbing configuration in the basement, rather than a bad install). Â We let him know about the issue and were actually skeptical that we would hear back from him, but he responded right away and came right back out to fix it. I have used Caleb for two projects now, one was building a barrier around a deck, replacing a light fixture and replacing a vanity in one bathroom. The other job, some weeks later, was replacing a bathtub shower door, new faucet and trimmings in a separate bathroom. He also fixed some drawers that wouldn't open due to house settling. He's punctual, communicates well, and is tidy. I paid a little extra for him to take away debris. I found his rates reasonable and he's very personable. Caleb was punctual, professional and efficient. While working he was all business, but took time to sit and plan/discuss a future project once he wasfinished with the laundry list of tasks I had asked him to help me with. Caleb installed a new vanity and linoleum in our hall bath (which required repairs to the existing floor) and installed a new tub drain in he same bathroom, a new vanity top in the master bath, address numbers and porch light on the exterior, and installed a new light fixture in our foyer. He accomplished all of this in just over a day for what I considered to be a very reasonable price, and his work looks great. In addition, our bathtub was chipped in the process, and Caleb called in a pro to fix the damage out of his own pocket.He does great work with integrity, and I highly recommend him. More...

Caleb did an outstanding job on a decorative wall I wanted installed. He came out, heard my idea and gave some great pointers. He arrived right on time and got to work over two days to get the wall put up. Along the way he offered a suggestion for stain, clearly explaining the costs and his advice (which I'm so glad i took). He finished a bit earlier than planned, and left my living room cleaner than it started. He even swept out my garage! And I LOVE the wall. It is exactly like I'd pictured and is just perfect. We had a great and easy experience working with Caleb at North Seattle Handyman.Caleb came in to help us find out why our toilet wobbled when sat on. Turned out the wax ring was bad and it had seeped water into the floorboards surrounding the toilet. He not only replaced the wax ring but also fixed the mold and the dry-rot around the floorboards surrounding the toilet so that it was safe again to use. Since he was there he also diagnosed why the flusher wasn’t consistently flushing and he fixed the insides of the flushing mechanism.Working with Caleb was great as he called back quickly when we inquired and explained the process to us while working in our house.
