The food here is always tremendous! Has been for years! It's a little bit pricier, but worth it - the only reason for the missing star is the service isn't always the best. Everyone is polite and friendly, but when you're paying +$35 for a steak, the service would make this place totally stellar. Definitely recommend! More...

I had the southern fried chicken and it was one of the best I've had.My 5 yr old ordered the crust-less quiche, not sure why. We weren't told about the kids menu either. (We saw it on the blackboard after the fact) She drenched the quiche in ketchup and she still didn't want to eat it. I tried it and it was baked egg with veggies in it, fair and healthy. More...

This place is probably the best non-chain restaurant food you’ll find in Gravenhurst in a nice sit-down setting. We arrived at around 4:00 pm, and no one else was in the restaurant, so the food arrived extremely quickly. What a relief, since we missed lunch already!The quality of food was quite good: ordered the mussels, fish & chips, and the burger, all of which were cooked well and very satisfying. Selection of drinks were also very good: thought and curation went into the menu. The service was very efficient and attentive, which was much appreciated.One other thing I noticed were the extensive vegetarian options on the menu, so if you are also looking for a spot that caters to all different eating restrictions this is probably your best bet! Great restaurant in Gravenhurst, without a lot of competition in its niche (between Boston Pizza and all the pubs in the area on the one hand, and the high-end fancy resort restaurants on the other). The food is solidly good, and covers a spectrum from pub grub to high-quality appetizers and entrees. They have enclosed the old patio space out front, greatly increasing the interior space and table count but there is no longer an al fresco dining option.
