This is one of those places where the food is as authentic as it can get. Everything is made to order, crazy delicious bread and cheese, sandwiches, pastries etc. Today the chef and owner, Josette, handmade us a special sandwich breakfast (she was supposed to be closed today) and it was out of this world - bread, cheese, ham. Sounds so simple but she made this the five star restaurant equivalent. Handmade bread, pastries, cake, pies etc.Just stop wasting time reading this and go already you will be bummed you discovered it this late in life. More...

Osman and his crew did such a great job on my 2 bedroom condo in Pleasanton. We had such a tough job, as there was so much dirt from our dog on both carpet and our couch. The couch now looks like new! Osman was very professional and timely, and took pride in his work. I found his rates to be very competitive. Thanks so much Osman! More...

Better to go during the week rather than the weekend when it's common to find a line out the door. Parking is nearly impossible on a weekend also.

Had a very pleasant Saturday morning breakfast here, very laid back sidewalk cafe. Not fancy but good coffee and really enjoyed my salmon on croissant. Service was kind of slow - although we were the only diners the bakery counter was busy and they seemed understaffed to handle the volume. The pastries were passable but not as amazing as I hoped. I would def come back for coffee and breakfast though. More...

Food:4 Service:4My friend and I were celebrating the Holidays by going to lunch. The place was clean. The menu was quite extensive for a small place. There was something that most people could find. We had the hot vegetable/pesto sandwich suggested by the server and it was delicious. It came with small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Well done on that as the salad leaves were not soggy with too much dressing..... my friend had the tuna Niçoise salad and she enjoyed it as well. We sat inside as outside was a little too cold but the place is very cute. Will go back again to try other dishes. More...

We love this family owned bakery and have been going for years. They Everyone comes for the fresh baguettes, which are some of the best outside of France. They also have made to order sandwiches on baguettes that are absolutely tasty. The food leaves you satisfied without feeling stuffed - the portions are big! I personally have not visited the adjacent, bistro but my parents and kids love it. Very cozy. Anyone looking for decently priced french bread in the Los Angeles area, find your way to Normandie. It's got the authentic taste without the frou frou-ness of other french food places in the Los Angeles area. More...

Our book club enjoyed pastries and coffee at this neighborhood bakery and sidewalk cafe. The croissants were buttery and flaky. Our server was helpful and courteous. Parking was available on the street and in the store lot across the street. There was live music and train noise, but we were able to converse. I heard that the baguettes were not made on the premises and the wheat one that I took home was okay, but not stellar. Overall, a fun place to visit. More...

10 stars for the baked goods, 5 stars for the food from the kitchen. We sat on the patio, there was live music by Le French Toasts, it was a cute breakfast on a Saturday morning. I ordered a savory ham and cheese crepe with coffee. A nice crepe with thinly sliced ham and gooey cheese accompanied by a small salad and vinaigrette was tasty. However, the real standout was my Wife's smoked salmon croissant sandwich. The firm-but-oh-so-tender-crispy flakes of her croissant paired with the developed flavors of the smoked salmon ... capers ... tomato ... Homer Simpson drool ... *hhyuuuungggg!* I had about 3 cups of their coffee, man, it was good. It did not need any sugar or creamer and was a touch sweet to the taste. The chocolate croissant I had for breakfast-desert paired well with my 3rd cup, and was delightfully crispy and light with a smooth top. There is free parking across the street in the fenced lot. I'll be back again to get pastries and coffee. More...

This place was nice. I had the paprika chicken with potatoes, alittle in the dry side thou. My wife had the chicken w/ mushroom plate it was good, we both enjoyed a cafe lateand for desert we got a strawberry fruit tart and merengue, the fruit tart was delicious the merengue not so much it did not taste fresh the core was dry to the bone. We ate outside the ambiance was nice but there was alot of pesky flies. Service was ok and food wait time was about 20 minutes. Big plus looks like you can bring your own bottle and ask for cups, since they don't serve alcohol. Overall good experience. More...

Tucked away in between Jefferson and La Brea, this place is very charming right from when you step onto the property. My friend /coworker recommended we go here after our inspection because he said he used to work at this restaurant a long time ago. We both had the turkey sandwich with brie which was a great choice. Brie makes everything that much better. I also had the coconut cake which wasn't too sweet or overpowering in coconut flavor if you're into that kind of thing. When I am in the area again I'll definitely be coming back to try their other items. More...

I have never been here before, but got a huge fruit and cream tart as a thank you gift. The person bought it for me, packed it on ice, and brought it from LA to the OC. It was really a beautiful work of art! I just wanted to look at it. I have never been a huge fruit tart fan, but as a gift I had to try it. I was so very impressed with this place. The tart was so good. The cream was light and sweet but not too much, the crust was perfect! It even had my name in gold edible paint! Who ever the pastry chef is, they definitely know how to make the perfect desert. The tart went fast and when I'm in LA, this place will be on my list. This desert is a 5 star french pastry! More...
