Darren made our cake for our wedding on the 5th May. I was invited to the studio to try cake flavours and discuss themes in advance of the wedding. Darren captured our ideas beautifully in the finished cake, it even made mum cry! The cake also tasted fantastic, although I didn't get to try some layers\flavours because they'd already been devoured by our guests. Darren made the cake for our big day and what a cake it was! We chose a semi naked cake, with three different flavoured layers of Sponge and real flowers/lemons for decoration. Every layer was as delicious as the other. Darren was great to work with, really enthusiastic and he had loads of time for us. The cake tasting at the design stage was also great fun. We gave him a few rough ideas of what we would like and he turned them into the dream cake, better than we had ever even imagined. Everyone commented on how tasty the cake was and quite a few filled their pockets before heading home. We even had some for breakfast! Darren made our cake for our wedding on 30th March 2018. We had a theme of ‘beach’ running through everything in terms of colours and decor and so researched some beach themed wedding cakes and passed on the images to Darren during our meeting to give him some ideas of things we liked. What he created was truly stunning and unique - a ruffle base which faded from turquoise up to white with another 3 tiers above tied together and into the theme with a intricate cascade design of starfish, shells and pearls. I have never seen a cake with this level of detail and care taken, it looked amazing and all of our guests commented on this too, it was a shame to cut it and ruin Darren’s work.

The cake itself was made up of a chocolate base, a tier of salted caramel and the top 2 smaller tiers were carrot and orange - each flavour was absolutely delicious.
To any couples who are looking for a cake which is both delicious and stunning in design then I would definitely recommend speaking to Darren.

I have been lucky to have had two amazing cakes made for me by Darren at the No. 82 Cake studio. Both cakes were so beautiful and exceeded my expectations every time. It's also rare that a cake that looks so beautiful tastes just as good, but Darren makes the most delicious celebration cakes that I have ever eaten.

If you need a cake for any occasion this is the man you want!

Wow! What a cake! Our wedding cake looked so amazing and tasted amazing too! Darren was so friendly and helpful- he listened to our wedding theme and designed a cake that was totally perfect for our special day. He had a big range of cake flavours to decide upon and being able to come for cake testing was a great idea. All our guests commented on how stunning our cake looked so I can't thank you enough Darren! It was everything we wanted and more. We look forward to using you again in the future!

Thank you for our beautiful cake and for making the old experience so easy and yummy!!!

We chose a naked/rustic cake, looked beautiful and tasted AMAZING! Loved our tasting session/awesome coffee also :-)

Darren also worked very well with our florist to dress our cake and was happy to set the cake up on a crate we'd had made. Communication was prompt throughout and Darren is super organised.
