About

Nicki Rutledge Photography is a fun, friendly & whimsical old soul. Her love of photography began at the early age of only 16, when she began working as an photo assistant at a local Fine Art Photography studio. Nicki later went on and attended college at Gwinnett Tech's where she enrolled in their Commercial Photography Program.

I am so disappointed and sick to my stomach every time I look at my wedding photos because I am reminded of the chaos that took place because of this photographer. My otherwise perfect wedding day was nearly ruined due to her lack of professionalism. I could go on and on about the numerous incidents(listed below) that took place prior to, the day of and following my wedding. I would NOT recommend her for any type of session, especially a wedding.

-She was difficult to get in touch with and would only respond after several messages were sent.
-We were sent an incomplete contract, then were told we had a late fee because we had not paid 2 weeks prior to the wedding. (The contract also said nothing about a late fee but she needed new equipment)
-She was late to my wedding and missed all of my getting ready photos. My contract stated 12pm but when I met with her a week prior to the wedding we agreed on 10am so that she would have time to get the getting ready photos and some of the details.
-When she finally did arrive, she yelled at my wedding party to clean up the room where we were getting ready.
-There were many details that were missed after we discussed the specifics many times and I provided her with a typed list of all that I wanted. There were details that I was unable to see due to the hustle and bustle of my wedding day and sadly there are no images of them.
-She was very scatter brained the entire time to the point that our friends and family questioned her character.
-She forgot about our daughter and she was not included in the family photos. My husbands grandmother was also forgotten and was not pictured in any photos.
-She completely disregarded my wishes and when asked come come photograph me (the bride) she responded “she will have to wait, I’m busy”.
-She focused majority of her time on photographing my bridesmaids instead of me, the bride.
-The wedding was made into utter chaos to the point I had to walk away in the middle of wedding party photos to settle down.
-Comments were made by this photographer about how “she no longer cared about us because she had already been paid” and that “she was going to make us wait the maximum time to receive images”.
-She was very unprofessional through the entire process.
-We recieved 1700 proof images and at least 50% were blurry.
-We were not given any photos/video of our send off due to lack of equipment. (We were also rushed by this photographer to do our send off early which ended our wedding hours before we wanted)
-My proofs were hard to view because her watermark was so large that everyone’s face was covered. Because of this, I ended up ordering images where people were not looking.
-I did not receive my images for almost 11 weeks after my wedding even though we were told it would be 6-8 weeks.
-I do not believe my final images are worth the amount that we paid for them.
-My images were edited in mismatched color filters and make it seem like my bridesmaids did a wardrobe change. In some images the dresses are hot pink, and some are their true color, lilac. We discussed that she would retouch them before I made my final order but the images I received do not show a difference at all.
-We also hired her to do our wedding video which was no where near what we wanted. We are grateful to have some videos of the day however they are so shaky that they are hard to watch.
-I contacted her again after receiving my images to ask about purchasing a few more and have yet to get a response.

Q&A

Photo Booths are super Fun for your Guests to be able to Enjoy together creating a keepsake bonding moment.

I can offer super silly props or props to specifically fit the decor of any event.

The secret to capturing a great photograph, well there isn't one. It takes a lot of time to naturally be able to capture images with the correct lighting, color theory and all at the right moment. Practice makes perfect!

Generally I would need to know if I am available of coarse, so I would need to know the date.
Then, what the occasion would be, and what are they looking for from me as their photographer?

Capturing timeless keepsakes that one day will be referred to as Heirlooms is my main goal.

My mentor, Robin Ewing. She pushed me when I didn't know I needed a goal or strategy for life after my mother passed.

Because I am human, I am their best friend and I seek to capture their most precious of moments in quality work.
