Nick photographed our wedding 8 years ago in 2016. We recently discovered we lost our copies of the photos from that day. We contacted Nick in a panic and within 24 hours he had uploaded them all to his website and explained how to download them . Panic over! I'm sure you will agree that knowing your photos are safe, no matter how many times your hard drive dies, is very comforting. If you're after a wedding photographer Nick is fantastic. To start with, his photos are stunning! Our wedding was photographed and edited expertly and managed to capture the day in all its tiny details. They told the story of our day. He managed to get all the photos we wanted, and some we hadn't even thought of. As well as amazing photos, Nick will help guide you on your big day. He took so much pressure off my partner and I by organising people for photos and getting guests heading in the right direction in a calm and timely manner. A Truly outstanding photographer. Punctual, incredibly polite, and with a work ethic that would put most people to shame. He handled all aspects of photography for our wedding last weekend . Nick photographed our wedding in late December. We were so pleased with his work. He made us and our guests feel at ease throughout the day which was something we felt was really important. Most of the time we didn't realise he was there! As the weather was quite unpredictable (we had rain forecast and high winds) Nick made the most of opportunities for outside photographs and even stayed on later in the evening until the rain had passed so that we could have a sparkler photo. WOW! Just WOW! Nick was recommended to us by Thornbury Castle for our wedding, and we are so glad they did. From the first email and subsequent calls, to the big day itself, Nick was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, full of ideas and really easy to work with. His previous work filled us with confidence, but nothing prepared us for how phenomenal our own wedding pictures turned out. He managed to turn bad weather into an advantage by thinking on his feet and being flexible. Can’t recommend Nick enough for the service that he provided on our big day. Communication was very good and attentive to our needs prior to the wedding. On the day he was seamlessly there when required and in the background when needed to be. He guided us throughout the day with experience and produced gorgeous photos, Nick also manages the wedding crowd with ease and humour. I can’t recommend Nick enough! He travelled all the way to our wedding venue at a castle outside Bristol and took the most amazing photos. I’m not photogenic and feel very uncomfortable in front of the camera, but he put me at ease, made me laugh and snapped away without me even realising. Nick! What can we say!! You were fantastic ! From the first enquiry, you have been helpful and patient with our requests and have given excellent advice. As newbies to the area, we didn’t have any recommendations, however, we really liked the informal style of photos on Nick’s website. As a more mature couple we wanted the whole day to be relaxed without too many formalities. Nick’s pitch on the day is brilliant. He is relaxed and fun and the ensuing photographs show what a great rapport he created with all of our guests. So many of them have commented that he is the best wedding photographer they’ve encountered, (and some of them have been to a LOT of weddings !!) We received our photographs the next day and also had a sneak preview of his own personal favourites early evening of our wedding day on a slideshow. The photographs themselves are excellent and really do capture the joy of our day. So many smiles and candid moments captured perfectly. Even our guests who are camera shy felt at ease. Nick is great. He recently photographed our wedding, and he was truly fantastic. He has an eye for lighting, and captures the sweet moments without being noticed. He is calm, relaxed and he puts everyone at ease. This is the thing that was noticed by all of our guests - how personable and talented Nick is. He's like a charismatic photograph-ninja. He will chat away and get people laughing, snap his photos and disappear onto the next lovely moment to capture it. He manages disasters well - telling us that "the lighting isn't quite right for the confetti shot", when in-fact your mother-in-law has just dropped the confetti everywhere and is rushing to clean up (without our knowledge!). He was a star at getting my groomsmen and I sorted with their button holes. In short, my wife and I can't recommend Nick enough. He works tirelessly to capture truly amazing photos. He will stand in water, climb into bushes, and recruit your groomsmen to help with the flash - all to produce those amazing shots you will keep and remember forever. Nick is highly recommended by my husband and I. He was very accommodating with our wedding photography, we ran an hour behind behind and was concerned about getting some photos taken of our evening guests but Nick was more than happy to stay an extra half an hour without us even asking him to do so. He was very friendly and jolly throughout him taking photos on our wedding day. He took all the photos we asked him to and knew the perfect places to take us to for different backgrounds/scenery and was more than happy for us to jump into his car to get to a beach near our venue. Me and my wife both don’t like our photos being taken, so we asked Nick to blend in with our wedding and he did just that and more. He captured the best photos you can get, natural and real pictures. There wasn’t one photo he took which didn’t capture the emotion of the day. Nick did a brilliant job of photographing our wedding. In the nicest way, for the majority of the time it was easy to forget he was there! He got so many beautiful candid shots of our guests and of the ceremony without us even noticing. However he was also great at giving direction when he needed to (which was mostly only for the 5-10 minutes of herding 140 overexcited guests into a group shot!). He is extremely talented and has an amazing eye for detail to get great shots, even in challenging conditions like our wedding day where it was rainy and lighting wasn't ideal. He has a lovely personality and easily brings out a laugh while on the job making your job of smiling and looking your best completely natural. We engaged Nick to photograph out wedding in March, having met him for a coffee beforehand and been impressed with the experience he clearly has, and ultimately the quality of the photography he brought with him. We also liked that he had a good range of prices that we could choose from closer to the time, from affordable to 'all the bells and whistles'.On the day we found Nick excellent. He was very easy to be around (in all states of stress, euphoria and exhaustion), and has the personality to command a room of excited people through group photos. Nick was both professional and extremely funny and laid back throughout the entire day to suit our needs for our relaxed bbq wedding. He managed to capture every perfect moment without giving too many directions or poses and they all came out wonderfully. They are all so beautifully natural and some of the time I didn't realise he was there taking them!

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Number one, is what do you want. I photograph couples in their twenties all the way through into their seventies and everything in between. You can not photograph every couple in the same way. By listening to you, the couple, I can tailor my photography to ensure I capture your wedding they way you want me to. I strongly believe this is part of the reason why in 18 years I have a 100% susses rate.
What do you love most about your job?
This is a simple one to answer. The joy on peoples faces when they get to see their photographs for the first time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The chance to earn money from my love, photography. I have been a full professional wedding photographer for 18 years. I never take for granted just how lucky I am to earn my living in this way.
