Q&A

I love watching my clients relax and blossom as they discover resources and answers within themselves which they hadn't previously tapped. I love the quality of conversation that is possible when all life's usual distractions and communications are put aside and clients receive the focussed attention we all need to find our best selves. I love the aha-moments that happen when an old assumption drops away and the path ahead becomes clearer. I love watching clients learning to love and trust themselves - and finding new energy as a result.
As Carl Rogers put it: "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

As an award-winning travel writer, I've been privileged to journey across the globe meeting extraordinary people. But no voyage of discovery has been as satisfying as the ones I have taken with coaching clients since midlife burnout forced me to reassess my life - and set me on the liberating path described in my book Urban Worrier. At a time when I felt personally and professionally stuck, it was a conversation with a life coach that helped me radically to rethink my approach – to work, parenting, creativity & vocation. Nearly a decade later, I’m passionate about exploring these crucial transitions with my own clients, helping pick a way through life’s frustrating ruts and dark forests, and find a new way forward.
