We offer a 20 minute strength training workout that uses new technology to save time. In a private session with 1-on-1 attention we focus on compound exercises that challenge major muscles. We use ARX (adaptive resistance exercise) equipment which allows for clients to experience their one rep maximum every single time and brings momentary muscle failure quickly. Momentary muscle failure is a good thing because it sends a powerful messages to the body that adaptation is needed. That adaptation brings a plethora of research backed benefits.

This is a great 20min per week workout. If you’ve ever read the book “Body by Science” and wanted to try the workout he recommends, this is it! This is one-on-one personal training where you choose your best time of day to work out. Next Age has 2 state-of-the-art ARX machines that will work every muscle in your body to exhaustion for very quick, effective results.

If your ready to feel better, stronger and improve your athletic performance with a 20 minute workout one time per week, then you have found the right place! You will be led through a simple but effective workout on the latest high technology machine, that provides resistance on both pushing and pulling, (eccentric and concentric movements ). This allows you to fully fatigue a muscle within as few as 4-5 repetitions per exercise. Latest scientific research reveals recovering muscle time is between 4-8 days, hence the once per week workout. I am generally (good) muscularly sore immediately after and then less sore as the week passes. It’s designed for busy professionals, like myself, who want to workout and see results without spending hours in a gym. Let me first say, I hate working out. I’ve tried many things in the past but never stick with it. I read about this place on a neighborhood message board and decided to go check it out. I’ve now stuck with it for five months (now going twice a week) and I love it. The fact that it’s only 20 minutes motivates me since it’s over so quickly. And it’s such a good workout! Tammy is such a great person - I felt comfortable with her the minute I met her. I really love the machines.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

First, the goal needs to be defined. Second, explaining our philosophy on fitness. Working out is just one piece of the puzzle. Equally important to giving ones muscles a meaningful challenge, is to provide adequate hydration, nutrition and sleep so your body can adapt to the new demand.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Workout intensely. Keep hydrated. Eat only nutrient dense food. Get adequate sleep so the body can repair itself. Don't overtrain. With our workout, most people need 4 to 8 days to fully recover which is why most clients workout once a week.

What do you love most about your job?

I love helping people reach new levels. We use computers and track performance. Coaching someone to find a new maximum is very rewarding, even though the client did the hard part. I know I played a role in that success.

What inspired you to start your own business?

In 2015, I lost 25lbs by changing what I ate! Since I enjoy reading science based information on diet and exercise, I knew how important strength training was however I simply didn't have the time to get to the gym (I worked in the corporate world at the time). Once I was introduced to Adaptive Resistance eXercise (ARX) which significantly reduced the amount of time to produce results, I wanted to make it available locally. I knew Atlanta people would be well-read on the importance of strength training and would love the time saving aspects.
