We went on the 20-min island tour yesterday with Bird's Eye View Helicopters. The experience was totally awesome! I was nervous before the tour, since I'm terrified of flying and never been on the helicopter before. However, the experience has completely exceeded my exceptions! Our pilot was super experienced and confident. During the tour, he pointed out many attractions and sightseeing spots for us. He also answered all of our questions and he's very knowledgeable. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking!! You wouldn't be able to see all of it if on the ground. Â The helicopter ride itself was very smooth and comfortable as well, didn't experience any turbulence. Overall, I would totally do it again next time! Â Highly highly recommend!! More...

I loved our helicopter ride. Our pilot Forrest was very knowledgeable and funny. The views were breathtaking. The woman who worked at the front desk was also very sweet, named Shannen. I would recommend this experience to anyone. As someone who has anxiety flying the staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed and more excited than anxious for our flight. This was a first for me and my boyfriend yesterday. It was actually a gift I had given him two years ago for his 40th, but with kids sports schedules and life, we just didn’t get to going until yesterday. And let me tell you I wish we knew how amazing it would be. We would’ve been a million times in the past 2 years!! It was incredible. It’s a simple process. It’s affordable. Our pilot was so nice and educating, thank you Forrest. The ride was spectacular and fun!! It truly was a perfect gift. Opted for the Newport Mansion tour this past weekend and was blown away by how much more you can see from the air in a helicopter (trust me, I've flown the coastline in an airplane and couldn't believe the difference)! The flight was great, we had overcast skies and a couple showers but our great pilot Forrest kept us at an altitude that let us still view everything and was also a great tour guide. The staff at the terminal was great, check-in was very easy. We had a package deal with the Gansett harbor cruise so they called over to Gansett to confirm that our cruise was still a go because of the weather. Overall great experience and we will definitely be back for another flight. Definitely worth the money!! Thanks again folks!! More...
