Newmarket Computer Services
Newmarket, Suffolk(1 Review)
Newmarket Computer Services was developed in 2015 by Nicholas McKee. Despite a career in horse racing spanning over fifteen years, computers and in particular website design was always a part of life. From being 14 years old, and coding using Notepad on a Windows 3.11 computer – in those days the fanciest you could get was different sized writing (h1, h2 etc).
More recently work has began to flow in and I feel that website design really is about to flourish. We’re in that amazing era at the moment where responsive websites have become the in thing. They came along and made any other website practically pre-historic overnight, although I still see a few websites nowadays that I could have coded on the Windows 3.11 machine in 1994!
I hope that by launching this company I can provide affordable web design, management, SEO and computer maintenance and repair to Newmarket and the surrounding towns, villages and cities at an affordable price. The only wages I pay are my own so I’m pretty confident very few companies would beat my rate. I’d love to chat to prospective clients though so please do not hesitate to get in touch. For now, Nick

What makes a great website?
The most vital part is a team that work well together, that's from you the customer to us the designer. Often we bring the design to the table but occasionally you'll have an idea that we need to work alongside.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Firstly and the most important is the logo - have you got one already? If the answer to that is yes we'll try to design the basics of the website alongside the logo - so blue logo will mean a predominantly blue website.
The other question we always ask is - have you seen any websites you like or don't like the look of.
What information do you need from a client before you start work?
Everything that we've already mentioned, plus a brief outline of your business and more importantly when you'd like to aim for the website to complete by.
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
Everything from business cards, invitations and envelopes, to full colour brochures and annual reviews.
Describe your creative process.
Talk to the customer, think, brainstorm and most importantly let the magic happen
Why should our clients choose you?
Because unlike most other companies, you won't speak to the important person until you sign the contract and then get passed over to the work experience guy for your project. I'll deal with you and work solely on your website from the start to the end.

From July 2015 to present.
Newmarket Town - The Online Directory
Development of newmarkettown.co.uk We were assigned lead designers on this website, we also ran the social media marketing in the lead up to the launch and dropped leaflets to prospective businesses as well. About two weeks before the launch the client actually received a substantial offer to take on the project but our client declined. We still manage the administration related to the site and all sign ups.
