Had a photoshoot with Barry recently. I found him online and made a phone call to him. He answered all my questions and gave me a reasonable price. I was a little nervous on the day but Barry and Alice both made me feel very comfortable and confident in front of the camera. It was all very professional and contracts were drawn up so both sides were protected. If I had any questions or preferences with the images Barry was happy to help. He sent the images exactly how I had asked and within days they were ready for me to use! Alice really helped with my self confidence and getting outfits ready for the shoot. Overall I had a great experience and was very impressed with how fast Barry was able to get the final images sent over to me! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Knowing why and when to use a technique rather than just knowing how to use a camera. Anyone can use a camera, and cameras are getting better every day, but photography is about capturing something unique about a person, something that maybe they themselves might not recognise, but that the people who know that person would see immediately.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are the aims and objectives of the project?
Do you have a clear idea of what the end result should look like?
Do you understand what resources you need to achieve your goal?
Do you have access to all the resources you need to achieve your goal?
What do you love most about your job?
The endless possibilities for creative thinking and planning!
Participating in things that are often bigger than a me, my input, but knowing that I'm still a part of it all!
Collaborating with other creative people to create something that no one single person would have been able to come up with!
Taking an idea and making it real, and concrete, then watching how it goes on to be used in even lager ways further down the line!
