After being blown off by another vendor, we were in search of another caterer for our wedding. New Leaf Catering came highly recommended by our florist and our baker, so we decided to give them a call. From the get-go, Scott was so accommodating - he not only created an amazing menu, but stressed the fact that he and his staff were there for us to help tie up any loose ends that we may have forgotten. We were always in communication, and everything went off without a hitch! We went in for our tasting and he created an entire lunch for me, my now-husband, and my mother. He let us know that if we didn't like anything, things could easily be changed. He asked us what we liked/didn't like about each dish so we could all be on the same page and make improvements/changes where necessary (but everything was delicious!). He created a menu of foods that people could eat while walking around (we stressed the importance of a casual but classy reception; we didn't want guests having to use a knife for anything). All of the guests could not stop raving about the food and about how full they were at the end of the night! Unfortunately we, the bride and groom, were so busy racing around talking to people that we didn't have too much of an appetite :(. The plates looked small at first glance, but were packed with delicious, healthy, filling foods. The staff working the wedding (the waiters/waitresses and the chef) were more than attentive to the guests, making sure they didn't want for anything. My book pick for the Month. The last Supper. My step Mom gave this book to m for my birthday. I opened it and not kidding finished it in 2 hours. It's not heavy reading. What the author has done is asked 50 of the top International and national chefs three questions. The question are what would your last supper be? Where would your last supper be held? Scott, Casey, and company planned and executed my 85th birthday party last Saturday 7/15/17. The 35 guests came from as far as NY, LA, Idaho, AZ, and 3 houses away all with different tastes and dietary restriction, but New Leaf managed to not only satisfy but astound everyone there. From the passed treats like mini shepherds pie to a wonderful tasting board of hams and cheeses to the amazingly tender skewers and salads and the finale of gluten free brownies every detail was perfection The staff of three made everything easy, efficient, and care free so that I and my guests were hardly aware of all the work going on behind the scenes. What a wonderful team! We had a five-day wedding event for which we asked New Leaf to cater virtually every meal for a crowd ranging between 20-100 people. From the tasting all the way through the wedding event, New Leaf came through for us in spectacular fashion. Highly, highly recommend this remarkable team. Scott and his associates are incredibly professional and highly skilled food artists, while the staff is the best imaginable. Not only did our guests love our strictly VEGETARIAN dishes (and these were a pack of blue collar mid-westerners, not too keen on eating veggies for five days, with one of my meat-loving brothers shockingly admitting that "this is the best meal I've ever had in my life"), but our guests consistently remarked on how wonderful and accommodating the staff was. We are beyond pleased and so very grateful. If you have an event, any event, do your best to get New Leaf on your team. It might be the best decision you make. More...
