I have been taking Emmy here for almost 5 years and they have never failed me once. Emmy was a rescue and found out he had special needs that required professional addressing. Throughout the years, as he got older, they have always been there. I had a scare and they were able to see him right away and address the issue. Our first appointment at NHAH was fantastic! The technician and doctor both handled my scared little pup so well, that she didn't growl or bark or even cry during her shot. And this gal, when approaching me in small spaces, usually gets super anxious. I am SO glad I chose NHAH for our appointments. Brought in my cats for their check-up/annual shots. We haven't gone to this vet before and this is by far the best yet. No waiting in the lobby, they immediately roomed us and the cats could get out the kennel and explore the exam room for a little bit before the technician came in. New Hope Animal Hospital was our first choice because of the location, but we have come back every time since because of their compassion and true empathy towards our dog. Our dog has very high anxiety and they are always willing to make sure our dog gets everything she needs - which includes working with her yelping and extreme mood changes. From my high school days, when the family pets went to New Hope Animal Hospital, to today almost 30 years later with my (and my wife's) dog, I have had a long history with New Hope Animal Hospital. I also had the fortune to work at New Hope Animal Hospital through college, so I have some measure of an "inside scoop". As someone who ended up in the medical field (albeit the "human" side of things), I can confidently say that the pets taken care of at New Hope Animal Hospital are cared for with the same high level of quality that your family and friends are cared for in a "human" hospital. In 30 years I've seen vets, techs, and others come and go as is usual over that long timeframe, and with those transitions I sometimes wonder if quality would slip, but everything has remained amazing. We recently (last week) had to say goodbye to our best friend, Gidget (Chinese Crested). Needless to say, our hearts were shattered, as this was our first time saying goodbye to a pet. Each and every staff member were beyond comforting and supportive during this process. They even sent us a card in the mail a week later to check in on us, show their ongoing support and to remind us of how special Gidget was to everyone who knew her. I’d much rather give New Hope Animal Hospital 5 hearts as opposed to 5 stars. Thank you SO much, New Hope Animal Hospital, for supporting our family and taking such good care of our beloved Gidget over the past few years. We miss her a lot, but know she’s in a better place and no longer in pain.

Dr. Herman is the BEST! I have gone to him for years. When we moved to Michigan & Chicago, when we go home to Minnesota & we get Blackjack checked out, because Dr. Herman & his entire Staff are so Professional & Compassionate! Nov. we took in a stray as it was freezing with 35mph & this llil kitty would come to our patio & huddle under the chair cushion. I put a blanket on the chair, we took a picture of it & asked the apartment office to e-mail the picture. We then took kitty to a clinic working with an adoption agency & he was neutered, had shots & was checked so his brother wouldn't catch anything! No one had claimed him at the apartment complex, so he is OURS & just precious! He is so glad to be in, loved, warm & fed. Our 13yr old Blackjack is not real happy about a bouncy 7month old very playful brother just YET, but every day gets a bit better. His name is "TRUMPETTE"~"TRUMPSIE" for short!
