My husband and I reside in Florida during the winter but we return to RI in May every year to spend the summer in RI. New England Pro Maids cleans our home every month during the winter time to keep it from becoming extremely dusty and hard to clean. We hired them to do a deep cleaning before returning and we just returned home and our home is absolutely SPOTLESS!!! Amanda and her team cleaned our home and was very thorough. They dusted every surface and shelf, and vacuumed under the furniture. We just don't have the time to keep our home clean on a regular basis with a toddler and 2 active dogs-- we have just enough energy to keep the house tidy and that's about it. How long have you been in business?
Since August 1998. We've grown from a home-based, one-woman operation to a full-scale cleaning company with a full staff of cleaning professionals and 3 full-time office staff.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Yes, we do! High quality equipment and name-brand supplies provided. Green cleaning products available upon request for an additional charge.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In the fall of 1998 our company was born with nothing more than some cleaning supplies and an old Volvo station wagon. New England Pro-Maids began when our owner suddenly found herself single-handedly raising 4 small children. Having spent the previous 8 years as a stay-at-home mom, and suddenly finding herself a single-mother, Anne started cleaning houses as a way to support her children.

Basic House Cleaning Services
Putting your home on a regular scheduled cleaning schedule can help your home stay tidy while giving you one less thing to worry about. Unlike some other maid services, we do not require you to purchase a deep cleaning before signing up for basic cleaning services. Our basic cleaning services can be scheduled on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, or, if you prefer, as a one-time cleaning.
Our Basic Cleaning service includes the following:
- Bathroom surfaces cleaned and sanitized
- Kitchen surfaces cleaned including outside of all appliances, cabinets and inside of the microwave
- All floors and stairs vacuumed including under the beds
- Vinyl, tiled and wood floors washed
- Dusting of all woodwork, baseboards, casings and sills
- Dusting and Polishing of all furniture
- Spot cleaning windows
- Washing of inside of all glass doors including sliders
- Empty trash containers and replace liners
- Dusting of ceiling fans
- Kitchen and bathroom floors are washed the old-fashioned way...by hand!
- Bed sheets and duvets can be stripped and changed for an additional charge.
Our basic cleaning rates are discounted if you schedule your cleanings on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Move-in/out Cleaning
Move-in/Move-out cleaning services are perfect for getting your new home ready for move-in day, or cleaning up the home for the new occupants after you have moved out. Sometimes referred to as "turn cleaning".
Move-in/Move-out cleaning services also includes everything in our basic cleaning package plus:
- Washing inside of all cabinets and drawers in the bathroom and kitchen
- Cleaning inside of all closets
- Washing of inside windows and tracks
- Washing all woodwork, casings and sills
Note: If you would like the walls to be washed for a move-in/move-out cleaning you will need to schedule our Deep Cleaning service.
Deep House Cleaning
Deep cleaning is a fall/spring type cleaning. This type of cleaning is usually a good way to start if you are looking to start on a basic cleaning schedule and your home has not had a good fall or spring cleaning in a while.
Our Deep cleaning service includes everything in our basic cleaning package plus:
- Washing woodwork, casings and sills
- Washing walls (see note below about walls taller than 7 ft)
- Washing inside windows and tracks
- Moving all moveable furniture to clean underneath and behind*
*We cannot move furniture with electronics on them nor do we move any electronic equipment.
Note: In homes with very high ceilings (over 7 ft) and/or with cabinets high on the wall, we request that the client provide us with a ladder tall enough to safely reach these areas. We cannot provide ladders taller than 3 ft.
Airbnb/Beach House Cleaning
If you own a vacation home, beach house or Airbnb that you rent out during the summer months, you may need house cleaning services in-between renters. You cannot always trust that the previous renters will clean up before they vacate the property, or if they do clean up that it will be to your standards. Having to refund rental fees to tenants because the home wasn’t clean is something you don’t want to do. It eats into the rental property’s profits and makes the visit unpleasant for the renters using the home for their vacation. You want your renters to be happy with their visit (so they come back again next year!) and you need to make a profit on your rental home to make it worth your while. Knowing this, you should hire a company who understands how important it is to get the home clean during that brief transition time between tenants. You need a cleaning service with a proven track record of high-quality, consistent and dependable service. This is not the time to take chances with an independent cleaner off Craigslist or some fly-by-night company found on Groupon or some other deal site.
