Nettl Web Design & Print Q&A

What makes a great website?

Your website is your first digital impression and you want to make sure it’s a great one. It should reflect everything you want potential customers to know and remember about your business. To marketers and other business owners who have been around for a while, this is nothing new. Successful businesses are always trying to improve the quality of their websites to meet the needs of their users.Often times, people are visiting your website because they are seeking out something. You want to ensure that they are finding what they are looking for quickly and with ease. You may have the most amazing business model and offer extraordinary customer service, but with a poorly functioning website, you could miss out on a significant amount of business and ultimimately make a bad impression.
In 2016, the quality of your website will be more critial than ever before. Since it’s likely that your competitors have an incredible website, expectations are high, and you must at least meet the bar, if not exceed it. If you want to stay in the game, you’ve got to have a website that makes it easy for your users to browse your products and services, make purchases, and to interact with your business.
So, what makes a great website? How can you set your website apart from the rest? We’ve put together some key website trends to focus on for success in 2016.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What does your business actually do?
What do you want your site to accomplish?
Do you have a website already?
What makes your company remarkable?
Who are your competitors?
What websites do you like and why?
Who exactly are your customers?
What features do you want your website to have?
How will you record your results?
Do you have a style guide or any existing collateral?

What information do you need from a client before you start work?

Not much to be honest - we need a brief outline as to what the site has to do via a sitemap, the functions the site needs to offer and outline as to how the site needs to look.
After that we can start to put together some initial design ideas to present to the client before scheduling a meeting and starting to fill in with content and imagery.

What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?

Anything and everything. We have an extensive range of print products available from handheld collaterol to massive exhibition solutions as well as logo'd up merchandising such as pens, keyrings and mousemats.

Describe your creative process.

To begin with we find it beneficial to meet the client first for an informal chat - this allows us to gauge what the clients website and / or print goals are so that we can offer them the best solution for their needs and budget. Once we've established their goals we will begin design work and then work closely with the client fine tuning the design until it meets the clients objective.

What do you love most about your job?

Creating beautiful and effective website and printing materials that help clients to win more substantial business.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I care and I want my clients to succeed. Nothing gives me greater pleasure that a happy client!
