Charming hotel nestled in the beautiful Scottish Highlands near Aviemore. Welcoming staff and pleasant rooms. Atmospheric with history, Cary Grant and Mae West both had permanent rooms booked here during the forties.

Lovely character hotel. Good food, friendly service can't wait to return. Beautiful scenic area great to explore and walk from the doorstep. This is a hotel with atmosphere and history, if you require boutique and corporate, this may not be for you. More...

Nice comfy beds. Decent shower.
Only downfall needed an iron and couldn’t help with one as all out to rooms and didn’t know where.

Mixed feelings about this place to be honest. Initial impressions are good, for this is a beautiful stone building in a great little village we arrived in a dead of winter, with snow.
Wonderful. Then you walk in and see the sh1tty carpet at the revolving door, and the nasty decor of reception. The staff are so so, especially so in the dining room for dinner and breakfast although seating seemed to be so slow. You know the style, an almost empty dining room and yet it seems to take 10 minutes to be seated while you are made to feel uncomfortable waiting.
Our 2 adjoining rooms (207 and 209 I recall) themselves were recently refurbished and quite nice. Reasonable price. Quite small rooms. Comfortable bed (although quite small double). Nicely renovated bathroom that was very clean. Room so nice and cosy with heating that worked well on a cold snowy day. Shower was perfect with lots of nice hot water.breakfast was great. Good choice of hot food, cereals, some fruit, croissants etc. Actually quite nice. The menu mentioned cheese and ham but it didn't appear while we were there.
Recommended and 4 out of 5 for me.

Nice room, super friendly smiley staff and nice food :)
I've never thought about or owned table cloths but why doesn't this place use them, it's would elevate the restaurant from a canteen feel which it isnt

A lovely hotel with friendly staff. We had lovely bedroom but the en-suite shower was a bit on the small side. Views over the gardens were lovely. Food first class.

We had a great stay very relaxing. Great view from the room which was a family room really good size. The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel both nights, the food although not a great range of choice was very good. The breakfast was standard stuff. Nethy Bridge is well located only a few miles from Aviemore and other major touristy sites. There are some very nice walks around the hotel itself. They are signposted for convenience and easy to follow. All in all a very pleasant place to stay. More...
