We did a complete remodel of our bathroom. It was a total tear out and rebuild on the second floor. All the plumbing had to be changed and moved to different locations. The bathroom door was moved and replaced, there were new walls, floors, ceiling, insulation, a beautiful custom vanity and large custom glass shower enclosure. Eric was always very polite and prompt with getting back to us. He was open to our ideas and helpful with his expertise. Eric took us to look for the countertops, and to see the shower glass. Our project took a long time to complete, almost 3 months for the main job with the dumpster being in our driveway the whole time. There was another month for the custom shower glass to be measured, cut and installed and that was an additional out of pocket expense. Eric did have several different people doing different jobs but the main worker was a jack of all trades. He did the majority of the tiling, connecting the plumbing, installing the cabinets. We spent more than we had in our budget. I would suggest that you ask for a written price quote before you start a job. This way you won’t go over your budget. The bathroom does look beautiful but the tiles are not even. I am not sure if it is the tiles or the way they were laid down but you can feel this unevenness under your bare feet. I hired NEC for what began has a kitchen remodel. As the project progressed, it expanded to updating and remodeling much of my house, including installing a beautiful new fireplace. Eric and his team were very flexible and never hesitated when I kept adding things for them to do last minute. Throughout the project, the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It is easy to become overwhelmed when having to make decisions regarding design, and talking through design options was very helpful. When I got stuck on little things, Eric and his team were able to help me see the big picture. They were always available to answer questions and were there every step of the way. Our experience with NEC has been fantastic. Eric and his team are extremely engaged, responsive, and professional. Someone was always here working and doing exactly what we were advised they would be doing. Everyone was respectful of our family and of our home. NEC completed a vinyl siding project on my home in Wappingers Falls last year. Ralph Gastin supervised the project and made sure that I was happy when the project completed. To this day people who pass by the house stop to appreciate the appearance and fine craftsmanship. Juan Tohom and his associate did a fabulous job in the siding installation from start to finish. I would highly recommend the entire NEC team for home vinyl installation. The products utilized were top of the line including insulation and siding. I am writing this to let you know how much we truly appreciated NEC’s efforts in designing and creating our walkway with several levels in our front yard. You did an excellent job and we are very proud of the end product. As homeowners, we all know how difficult it is to find an honest and efficient contractor. Prior to your arrival, we had a very difficult time. Now that we are approaching the retirement age, my wife wanted to have the front of the house landscaped and to have a permanent walkway installed. In the spring, we had the area landscaped but we were unable to locate anyone capable of installing the walkway. To add to our difficulty, we were unsure what we actually needed. We placed and advertisement in the newspaper and had several contractors respond to view the job but all of them, one way or another, proved to be unreliable. Some did not even respond with a quote, others appeared to lack competency, and the remaining could not provide an approximate begin and end date. We were on the receiving end of the usual “runaround” from contractors. Any homeowner will tell you this is all too common. When you arrived, within 2 minutes of our discussion we knew we were talking with someone who is very familiar with designing and installing walkways. While allowing for our plan preferences, you were very knowledgeable and quickly explained what we needed in terms of design and layout. The follow up was equally thorough. Within 2 weeks you had an experienced crew on site and they stayed until the job was complete. I might add that the concrete delivery driver indicated to me that you are the only contractor he knows that uses double the necessary concrete in the base. This is just another indication of the extraordinary quality of your work.Eric, it was indeed a pleasure to do business with you, I would highly recommend you to any homeowner or for any commercial project as well. As professional as can be! That’s what my wife and I thought when we saw the final results of your work. As you are aware my previous contractor left me with such a horrible cement job with my patio and deck. Wire mesh was never used in certain places and the areas it was used it was lying on the ground which resulted in no reinforcement because the mesh was under the concrete. No footings for support were installed, no ¾” stone was used for a sub-base and due to the cement job being left exposed to the weather elements, and the final finish was damaged due to rain. Hiring a contractor for less money doesn’t pay! As the saying goes, you get what you pay for!We were extremely happy with the professionalism of your customer service and work.
