What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to a good photograph is knowing where to stand and where to put the edges. Getting the best out of any photograph or pose requires perfect composition. After that, the rest is technical detail - lighting settings and very often the editing takes care of it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When starting a new project, I’d usually ask a client what inspires them, what styles they love or hate and what they would like me to achieve for them. If they've got links to styles & images they already like, then I'll take that work with me on set to inspire the composition. The client should be in the driving seat where I am the vehicle taking them to their photo or video.
I'll ask the client if I can see the shoot venue before hand as often the best lighting can be achieved by preparing a shot in advance.
What do you love most about your job?
I love taking photographs and shooting videos. The best part is always seeing people’s first reactions to the photos and video I’ve shot for them. I don't go anywhere without a camera anymore. I got fed up with missing perfect opportunities for creative lighting, composition or instances that would never repeat themselves. My camera is my left arm (and I write with the right arm)...
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve never had a ‘day job’ so to speak. Since the age of 16 I’ve been running my own photography business. Initially I did photo restorations, enlargements and prints. As I studied at college and university level, I gained confidence to take the pictures and shoot the video as well.
Why should our clients choose you?
I’m dedicated, honest and hard working. I believe in charging people fairly and producing a job well done. I wont stop shooting till the client is completely satisfied. Thus far I've never had a disappointed client as I'll shoot and reshoot till they are perfectly satisfied. I take my 13inch iPad on site with me to most locations (unless it's too dangerous) and show the client their images/video on a big screen so they can see better what the final product will look like.
Wedding Photography
We’ve been photographing weddings for 10 years, so wether you’d like albums, designed books or simply a DVD we can help you.
We will come and meet you and discuss your wedding photos prior to the wedding. Do a pre wedding visit to the venue(s) and will be available for the entire day from pre wedding photos till the first dance.
Our service includes editing of the photos whether they go in an album or on a DVD and you’ll always get a printable copy to keep.
Family Photo Shoot
For a relaxed, family photoshoot we usually find that our customers prefer to be in a familiar surrounding. This could be your home, a local park or even on the beach. As our studio is completely mobile, we can do your photo shoot anywhere. We're also very competitively priced and we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. (We review pictures on the day with you and if you're not completely happy with the results, we'll re-shoot in the same or another location until you're completely satisfied)
Photojournalism/Videojournalism
Natt has worked all over the world covering stories from presidential tours to heart rendering stories of genocide. He's been posted in East Africa for 10 years and speaks Swahili, Kinyarwanda/Kirundi and french fluently.
Diplomatic sensitivity is often the key and Natt has a lot of experience in this having worked with the Presidents office of both Rwanda and Burundi.
He also understands that quite often pressing buttons is also a requirement - When interviewing notorious President Al Bashir in Kigali, Rwanda he asked the dangerous question as to why genocide was being allowed in his country.
No stranger to danger he has been in situations where armed protection was paramount. He's also been in the centre of a shoot out literally hiding in a building in the line of fire as a gun battle took place outside.
