Natural Beauty is my Go to spot for the care and styling of my locs. Alecia has been hooking my hair up for the last few months. ..hence my lovely updo in my profile picture. The salon is convenient to an area I already frequent (its right behind the Kroger I live in, lol). I’ve never been waiting long or dissatisfied with my hair since she started doing it. My locs are healthy and growing well under Alicia’s capable hands and it doesn’t hurt that she’s a nice lady. I enjoy our conversations during my appointments and look forward to seeing what she will come up with next time. I’m so happy to have found this salon, and Angelynn especially. She does a great job maintaining my locs and styles my hair without using rubber bands and Bobby pins so I can keep it up for more than two days. Scheduling (and rescheduling) is a breeze. I am new to the Richmond area and had called several other salons. They all told me to call back later or stated they would give me return call and never did. This salon scheduled me right away and sent me an email confirmation as well as I reminder. I only waited a few minutes once I arrived and the results were excellent. Visited yesterday for the first time and had a really good experience! Went to get a wash, condition, retwist and style on my starter locs. Nice atmosphere and prompt service! Was able to call and come right in. Loved the natural products that were used. Have been to 4 different places (included people's homes) and this place had the most reasonable price ($85) for the what I wanted, my hair was impeccable and I can tell it's going to last me much longer than any of the other styles I've got from other places. Visited this salon to get my dreads that I personally began growing done. They've NEVER been tackled by anyone other than myself, so they weren't easily tamed. The consultant Angelyn, whom assisted me, made sure that my hair was done properly, AND paid an intense amount of attention to how I'd already uniquely dreaded my hair. She washed my hair and left my scalp feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. As well as clean and fresh. Under the dryer I was provided books, magazines, and soothing music of all genres. The environment was clean, smelled great, and gave me a very dreamy environment to sit back and relax. Quality service and friendly staff. They only work by appointment which makes for a more personal experience. When you're there, your stylist is there for you. They wash your hair every time which I prefer my stylists to do. I've never had an issue with this place. They are very professional and their service is top notch.I like the music they play. The music selection may seem like a small thing, but considering that you spend no less than 2 hours at a time here, it's kind of important not to hate what is streaming through your ears during that time. I was going to another loc salon before coming to this one. I absolutely Love this salon. The receptionist is so friendly and welcoming. I didn't have to wait. I received the utmost attention to my hair that I didn't receive at my previous salon. It didn't take long for my stylist to do my hair and it was superb. I must say that Natural Beauty Salon & Spa is one of the best natural hair salons I've  been to in these last few months since I began my journey. From the moment I made my appointment, there was nothing but professionalism. The salon itself was very large and very clean. I came in to get my hair in box braids, and my stylist E'Wana washed and deep conditioned my hair first. She also gave me a consultation on how I can maintain my hair during my transition period and afterward. E'Wana was the only person who did my hair and she did an amazing job. My box braids looked great the whole time that I had them in, none unraveled, none fell out, I could have probably worn them longer and they would have still looked great after almost NINE weeks. I've recently relocated to the DC area and I have been struggling to find a salon that provides such remarkable and affordable service in this area.
