I have gone to Dr. Cooley for a few years and travel 7 hours to see him because he’s the most gentle, honest doctor I’ve ever had. He explains what he’s doing while he’s doing it and helps you understand the whole process. He doesn’t encourage (even discourages) unnecessary procedures and personally called me to make sure my mouth was feeling okay after he fixed the years I neglected my teeth. With my previous dentist, my gums would be sore for 24 hours after visits but not with Dr. Cooley! I thought it was going to be a joke taking my very busy 2 year old to the dentist and have him sit still and let Dr. Cooley clean his teeth, but he has such a way with little ones and amazingly and quickly cleaned my son’s and made him feel so comfortable. The chairs are massage chairs and there is an option to watch Netflix. If you have anxiety about the dentist this is definitely the practice for you! The whole office staff is great! More...

Michael and Anita are incredible. Visited Fashion Isle Smiles for the first time in March after seeing the same dentist for the last fourteen years and it’s safe to say I am a new man. Michael taught me how to actually take care of my teeth and how my old habits which had been encouraged previously were ruining my teeth and gums and leading to long-term damage.I just moved out of town, but will continue to see Michael because of his intentionality in taking care of me - after my visits he has followed up to ask how my mouth is feeling and has commented on previous conversations while I was in the office. I can seriously trust that Michael is looking out for my best interest and it is with that level of care that I can say I am committed to Fashion Isle Smiles, and that I hope everyone finds a dentist as good as Michael. I went to see Dr. Michael Cooley for a second opinion on a long-standing and puzzling source of tooth/gum pain. He very deliberately and analytically analyzed the problem, eliminated some possible explanations and honestly gave me his expert appraisal. Although the problem can't be resolved, I am comforted by his well-reasoned appraisal and now know that there is nothing terrible happening with the offending teeth.Not only is Dr. Cooley highly intelligent, but he has a very calming demeanor that will put you at ease immediately. Dr. Cooley was just the best! I have never had a better experience in a dental chair and I've had a lot of visits with problems. Have need for bone graft and implant now and I look forward to the next appointment without worry. There is no doubt this will be a good outcome. His knowledge and professionalism is very apparent. We love Fashion Isle Smiles!!! If you are looking for dentists and staff who are warm, friendly, caring and all around great people look no further. Our whole family goes here, ages 45-9. Their attention to detail and kindness goes beyond any other dental experience we've had. Who says they look forward to going to the dentist I DO!!! Fashion Isle Smiles has a pristinely clean and beautiful office (with ocean views and heated massage chairs to relax me) and exceptionally well trained, experienced, caring and meticulous dentists and support team.  The team here is excellent with every type of patient!  I've taken my terrified three year old niece here, and watched Dr. Burkholder patiently teach her that going to the dentist is fun.  I've taken three teenagers here for their wisdom teeth removals and I am always appreciative of the office's expertise and follow up.  My daughter had a very complicated orthodontic issue and the dentists worked closely with the orthodontist to ensure superior care for her and lots of answered questions for me.  Even my reluctant husband is happily receiving care and cleanings from Fashion Isle Smiles.  I can't recommend them enough, both because they are phenomenal at their jobs and also because they're just super great people! By far the most attentive and thorough dental practice I have ever experienced.  You truly get personal and attentive care from the entire staff who all clearly care about your dental health and are very honest about what treatment you do and don't need.  Don't go anywhere else or you will be disappointed!  I tried a high-volume practice who treated me like cattle.  Fashion Isle was all about paying attention to me and my needs and not about revenue.  Glad I found them! I had a very pleasant experience at Fashion Isle Smiles! I first spoke to Anita on the phone for about half an hour about getting my wisdom teeth procedure done at Fashion Isle Smiles. She talked me through the entire procedure and confidently assured me that they make sure us as patients are most happy and satisfied throughout the process. I felt very loyal to her instantly and how helpful she was at checking my insurance policy. I had a very traumatic experience at another dentistry getting one of my wisdom teeth pulled but my experience at Fashion Isle Smiles was absolutely incredible! Such a beautifully, friendly staff and Michael made sure that I was comfortable and not in pain throughout the entire process and even reached out to me days after to make sure I was healing well and doing ok. Rich, Anita and Michael are awesome! I am so grateful to have found such a caring, honest and professional team of people for myself and my family. Rich and Michael really take the time to make sure you are physically comfortable (they even have heated massage chairs!) and are super thorough with the treatments they provide. Rich and Michael recently did a wonderful job in taking care of my 11 year old son who was very nervous about seeing the dentist. I was referred to Fashion Isle Smiles through a friend.  I think Michael is the Best dentist ever!  He was through on explaining everything to me and genuinely cared about me.  He took his time on cleaning my teeth.  I don't think any dentist has ever cleaned my teeth as well as he has.  My son went there to get his wisdom teeth taken out and he could not be happier with the service.  Anita was very helpful in every way.  I'm going to have all my kids and family go to Michael and Rich in the future.  I recommend them to all my friends and family.  Thank you again Michael for taking the time and working on my teeth and I will be back for sure. I absolutely love the staff over at Fashion Isle Smiles.. I just moved to Newport Beach and was in desperate need to find a dentist. . I have not had the best of luck in the past finding a dentist I was comfortable with BUT o boy am I lucky I found these guys! For new clients they make sure they schedule to have you be the only client in the office.. This was awesome, I really felt taken care of given their undivided attention! They do a great job in educating you as well going over what is the best approach in making your smile look like a $100!What I also love is it is a family owned business! I was fortunate enough to have a great dentist for almost 20 years. When he retired, the transition to the person who bought his practice didn't go particularly well. Given this, I decided to find a new dentist. Fashion Isle Smiles was referred to me by an enthusiastic patient. I had a need for an unplanned appointment, and Fashion Isle was able to take me the next day. The personal touch, attention to details, time commitment, and follow-up have been excellent. Ive had many different dentists in the past but Michael Cooley, DDS is simply the best.  What a great guy, truly! He was attentive, honest, communicated clearly, gentle. ..one thing I especially appreciated was his positive attitude and outlook on an issue that a previous dentist tried to instill fear in me over (probably to make more money).  What a relief. I won't go anywhere else now!As well, I was really impressed by the high def imaging equipment they use on the spot to both educate and inform patients which definitely adds to the trust I already had in Dr. Cooley.  Usually going to the dentist is a drag, but Fashion Isle Smiles is such a lovely family business I don't mind it after all... so many dentists are grumpy and mean, but everybody on staff here is so kind you'll feel right at home.
