Shoosmiths were recommended by the estate agent. We were a bit unsure at first as they weren't local, but we need not have worried. Everything was very quick and efficient. Our case handler was Portia Benning, and although we never actually met we felt as though we got to know her. She responded quickly by email or phone call. We've had bad experiences in the past with very VERY slow solicitors, but not this time.I have no reservations whatsoever about recommending Shoosmiths. We knew most of the costs in advance, so no nasty surprises. And we just can't fault the service. We may be buying a property soon and will certainly be using them if we do. Phoned to see if someone could certify a Land Registry Identification document for me and their team went the extra mile to find someone available. This was the 9th solicitors I phoned today. 5 in Bicester couldn't help (no one available, no one qualified, and one who "only does that for existing clients--hey, *I* could have become a client), 2 in Buckingham --was waiting for someone to get back to me, and 1 one other in Milton Keynes who "don't do that kind of thing anymore." I was given shoosmiths details from an estate agent and I was so happy I went with them. My case handler was Oil ,he was always updating me on every step and also on what was outstanding which is very important when your buying a new property.
