Must have had their worst scenario 2 adults 2 grandchildren 2 dogs but wow! All well behaved including me! and staff most welcoming across the board. . and treated us all including the dogs as a family and nothing too much trouble. (Thats why boys and dogs loved you all)THANKS to you all for 1st class + service to us all.

Reasonably good value, cooked to order breakfast with plenty of choice. Evening meal offered a fair number of dishes but service rather slow as only a few people in dining room. Perfect setting, very peaceful. Cosy lounge bar with open fire. Enjoyed a delicious dinner in the lounge bar, quiet and comfortable.
Bedroom was basic but had all necessary amenities - hairdryer didn't work and shower curtain meant water poured over the bathroom floor. However the staff are very approachable and had I not brought my own hairdryer, I'm sure they would have found one for me. Perhaps time for shower screens though Iron and board available for guests use.
Great choice at breakfast, so a very pleasant stay. (One heads up to management - housekeeping really need to vacuum behind cabinets) - I used to have my own hotel and know where to look!!! More...

Excellent hotel with good food and a lovely atmosphere out in the country. Hotel staff was very very kind. Hotel rooms were clean, well lit, beds comfortable, and bathrooms looked good and functioned well. The TV was large and plenty of space for everything we had. The courtyard and bar was welcoming and the golf course looked nice. Right by a railway for train fans, too! It wasn't loud though.

Only downfall was we had a room beneath a staircase, which was a bit loud but past bedtime. The doors also let conversation in from the hallway, so light sleepers may not like that come morning when golfers head out to the green, lol.

Not a worry though, I'd return for sure. Great location. More...
