Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Accounts are meant to reflect a business's true and fair financial position. They are meant to be accurate and reliable so that both managers and tax authorities and can rely on them to make decisions for a business's future.
Frequently many 'great' accountants promise low tax bills, no tax bills, or even tax rebates. The same accountants will promise fair bills to one's business, only to find out that their bill will not cover their time when accounts are under HMRC investigation although it should have been foreseen and avoided. They will even recommend the right software for one's needs, so they earn a commission of them while their business uses it. Such practices are against the principles and ethics of our profession.
A great accountant should promise that one's accounts will be done on time, accurately, alongside with adequate feedback to management and that only the right tax will be paid. This is what we aim to deliver. We promise to support one's business 24/7, be there to answer their questions when they need us, keep them up to date with their business's finances and prepare the correct accounts for their business. We will also provide one with the right software for their business without asking them to pay a penny for it, in other costs we will take the charges so that one can run their business in full control. Also in the unfortunate event accounts become subject to HMRC investigation we will not ask a penny for any extra work needed to be done or for representation to tax authorities.

Every single business is unique, just like the people who run them. Diversity is a magical ingredient that helps us excel in our services and stay out of dullness.
Managerial accounting and more or less every other service we provide require us to stay up to date with all our clients' finances. The trust put in our hands is one the most important parameter that motivates us to be always on top of everything and making sure everything gets recorded and reported accordingly to management.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Since our firm is a partnership, it is only right to say that each of the partners has joined for their own reasons but shares the same aims and principles.
